CMS College of Science and Commerce, Coimbatore Admission 2024: PG Admission, Eligibility
CMS College of Science and Commerce was founded in the year 1988 and is situated in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. The college is affiliated to Bharathiar University.
The college runs UG programs each of three-year duration viz. BSc/ BA/ B.Com./ BCA/ BB/ BBA CA and PG programs of two-year duration each viz. MSc/ MCA/ M.Com./ MIB/ MSW/ MA/ PG Diploma. CMS College also offers M.Phil. and Ph.D. program each with 9 and 5 specializations.
- Candidates shall get through the post by paying the application fee or may collect it in person from the office. Pay of the application fee shall be done through DD.
- Applicants who have passed 10+2 in relevant discipline are considered eligible for BA/ BCA/ B.Com/ BBA/ BBA/ CA.
- Applicants who have passed 10+2 or its equivalent with Mathematics/ Physics/ Chemistry/ Zoology/ Biology/ Botany/ Computer Science/ Applied Electronics etc. any of these subjects are eligible to apply for BSc program.
- Applicants who have completed Graduation in relevant discipline with minimum 50% marks and have studied Mathematics/ Statistics in 10+2/ Graduation are eligible to get admission in MCA program.
- The eligibility requirement for admission to MIB/ MSW/ PG Diploma program is Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University.
- Candidates who have completed BBA/ B.Com/BBM/ BCS/ BA are eligible for M.Com program.
- Applicants who hold BA Degree in English are suitable to join MA in English program.
- For MSc program, the minimum eligibility requirement is BSc in respective discipline from a recognized University.
- Applicants with minimum 55% marks (50% marks for the reserved category) in PG Degree course in any discipline are eligible for admission to M.Phil. and Ph.D. program.
- Admission to each UG and PG program is given on the basis of candidate’s merit in the qualifying examination.
- Selection of the eligible candidates for admission to M.Phil. and Ph.D. program is done based on their score in the Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by the Bharathiar University.
- Candidates for UG Courses must have completed 17 years of age and not should be more than 21 years of age as on 1st July of the year of admission.

B.Sc. / BA/ B.Com. / BCA/ BB/ BBA CA are the undergraduate courses each of three-year duration offered by CMS College of Science and Commerce.
The minimum eligibility requirement for admission to BA/ B.Com. / BCA/ BB/ BBA CA is candidates must pass 10+2 or its equivalent examination in relevant discipline from any state/ national examination board. CMS College of Science and Commerce offers MSc/ MCA/ M.Com. / MIB/ MSW/ MA/ PG Diploma programs, each of two-year duration and MCA which is of three-year duration.
Candidates who have passed BSc in Mathematics/ Biology/ Botany/ Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/ Electronics and Communication System/ CS & IT/ Electronics/ Applied Science and similar subjects from a recognized University are eligible to get admission in MSc program. Those candidates who have completed Graduation in any discipline are eligible to apply for admission to MSW/ MIB/ PG Diploma course.
Candidates who have completed BA Degree in English are eligible for MA admission. Similarly, applicants who hold B.Com./ BBA/ BBM/ BCS/ BA or equivalent degree are considered eligible for M.Com and those with Graduation Degree with Mathematics/ Statistics as the compulsory subject in 10+2/ Graduation are eligible for MCA program.
Admission to each program is given based on the merit obtained by the candidates in the qualifying examination as per the instructions of Bharathiar University.

As per the norms of Bharathiar University minimum eligibility criteria for admission to M.Phil. and the Ph.D. program is candidates must have passed Master’s Degree program in any discipline with minimum 55% marks (50% marks for SC/ ST candidates) in concerned discipline from a recognized University.
Admission to M.Phil. and the Ph.D. course is given through Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by Bharathiar University.

CMS College Application Process 2023
Candidates shall apply offline for admission to any UG/PG course. The application form could be collected from the college’s office or get it through the post by paying the application fee through DD along with the college’s prospectus. Applicants must submit the application form through the post or in person at the college’s office.

- Candidates may collect application form and prospectus in person or by post from the college’s office.
- The Application form are also available at the advertised spot admission center.
- Fill up the application form and attach all the documents.
- Make the payment of the application fee by Demand Draft in favour of CMS Educational & Charitable Trust payable at Coimbatore.
- INR 50 as courier/post charges with crossed A/C Payee DD can also be sent with DD to Admission Liaison Officer.
