  • Hostel: The college has arrangements for separate boys and girls hostels. There are two boys hostels for PG / UG students and SC/ST students, whereas three girls host for P.G. students, UG/+2, and SC/ST students. Every hostel has a Hostel Superintendent and a Deputy Superintendent apart from the mess and other amenities.
  • Library: The college library is open to all the students and has a collection of  53, 239 books on diverse subjects. The library has a reading and a lending section. Ans. Government Autonomous College, in the initial days, started in a small building in the Steel Township sector. However, over the years, it spread across 50 acres of land in the Sundargarh district at Panposh Rourkela. The ambiance is appeasing and idol for students who aspire for growth and learning.

Ques. How is the fee structure?

Ans. The fee structure is affordable. Apart from the highly experienced teachers, the college provides additional facilities like well-equipped laboratories, a well-stocked library, and spacious hostel rooms accommodating 3 or 4 people, for a feasible fee structure.

Ans. Each academic session consists of two-semester exams held in April and November. Also, two internals are held before each semester examination. Two terminals are held for each subject every semester. Internal marks are held for 10 and 15 marks, whereas the semester exams are 60 and 25 marks, respectively.

Ques. Do we have to appear for any entrance exam, if applying for undergraduate courses?

Ans. The college does not conduct any entrance examinations. The admission for undergraduate courses like B. A, B.Com, and B.Sc is made based on the marks scored in the 12th boards. The cutoffs of the respective courses can be seen on the official website.
