What students say about HR College of Commerce and Economics

Likes

  • This college has a very good and dedicated faculty for this course, and I advise taking admission if you want to pursue BMS.
  • Our college has summer internships. I interned with a guest faculty who has his own investments company in Santacruz.
  • Placements at HF COLLEGE is something that the college is best at. Hr college gives you enormous opportunities for internships in between the courses as well as placements after completion of the course.
  • My college charged me 40,000 rupees in my first year, and the college has a placement cell club that provides internships to freshers and beginners who wish to work part-time jobs with a good stipend amount.
  • The amphitheater, canteen, library, computer lab equipped with the best tech; sports room with all the required gym equipment, dance room.
  • There is no hostel facility in the college, but the canteen maintained by the college is the best canteen. It serves awesome food to both the faculties and students.
  • HR binds all the students together and imparts great values and knowledge, which are very important in everyones life.

Dislike

  • The course curriculum and exam structure are the same as allocated by Mumbai University, as it is a part of Mumbai University.
  • Unfortunately, due to attendance issues, I hardly attended college and therefore missed the opportunity to intern, if there were any in the first place.
  • The fees for poor people are high and no concessions are given, so I dont like the fee structure of the college.
  • Since I was a CA student, I hardly had the chance to participate in any such competition or event

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is good. They keep their exams well scheduled. The teachers are average and won't say they are great as they don't put much effort because 90% of classes are empty after the first few weeks. Yes there is no minimum attendance But talking about our English teacher she has a PhD in English and speaks well although out of three math teachers. The exams were moderate as compared to NM mithai and Podar. And it wasn't that difficult to pass. Although the invigilators won't leave the classroom for a single second during exams which would make it difficult for copying.

Remarks:

The admission process was smooth. It was easy and the office staff was cooperative. Eligibility for the course was 87% in 12th grade. I found the application form, fees and dates on their website. No reservation benefits I had availed. There is no improvement in the admission process I want to see.

Placement Experience:

In the third year, students are eligible for the Placements i.e. 5th semester. Companies like Godrej, KPMG, and Jp morgan visit the campus. The average or say minimum package offered is 3 Lakh and goes up to 10 lahks. 90% of the students get placed with an average package of 5 lakh and many students end up getting a package of 7-8 lakh. I want to do MBA from a top business school in India.

Remarks:

First, we had to register on the HSNC University portal. Then after the results, register for the college applying for. For me, it was HR. One can get the link by searching it on google "HSNC UNIVERSITY LOGIN" There wasn't any entrance exam the admissions were solely percentage based. Eligibility was that the student should be 12th passed. The process was easy and the cut-off was around 84% or less.
