What students say about Mulund College of Commerce

Likes

  • As far as the course structure is concerned, it is one of the top 20 colleges in Mumbai where students want to study. The campus of the college is not very good.
  • Though it was delayed from the companys side, Id say it was a good experience as we got to learn a lot about the products available in the market. Were from the finance department.
  • In this college, the placement and the internship are very good because for the purpose of placement, 25 companies came to provide jobs to the freshers.
  • The university acknowledged A-grade affiliated college provides scholarships to the best-performing students, as well as to students from lower income groups, by giving them books free of cost from the librarys book banks fund.
  • Spectrum is the biggest fest of our college, and it is the best event held.
  • I would rate the college 3/5 from the infrastructure and facilities point of view because its not that happening but still good, and the crowd is also good. Overall, the facilities they provide are also good.
  • Also, the quality of education and faculty provided by the College is one of the best.

Dislike

  • College does not provide any sort of internships or placements to BSc students. I dont know about other courses, but for IT students, I think they should be providing at least internships, which I personally believe

Placement Experience:

From the 5th semester students are eligible for campus placements. Capgemini, IDBI bank visited the college. The highest package offered was 5lakh per annum, and the average was 3.5 lakh per annum. job profile offered was a data analyst. Almost 40% of students got placed. I'll pursue MCA.

Remarks:

The admission process was quite easy. you don't have to appear for the entrance exam. you just have to score above 60% on the 12th boards. the application form is available on the college website form fee is 500rs. Personally, I don't think there's a need for any improvement in the admission process

Placement Experience:

At the end of the 5th semester or the start of the 6th semester, placements begin. Many big companies like Deloitte, Asian Paints, Policy Bazar, TJSB bank and other banks, etc come to recruit students from the finance department. Students from BBI, BFM, BAF and other finance-related courses appear in interviews for the same job positions. There are few positions available in particular companies so only a handful of students get the job and if 100-200 students apply about 20-25 of them get recruited. The process involves applying by filling out the provided form by the company for the desired role, there are aptitude tests conducted and a handful of students pass the test and are called further for the final interview. The average yearly package offered is 4L. It differs from company to company and the position you apply for. The eligibility criteria are also mentioned according to the job positions. I have applied for a few recruitments as well.

Remarks:

The admission process is smooth and simple. The application form and course details as well as fees can be found on the college website. I got my admission through sports quota. The steps involved are: applying via the college website, checking eligibility in the lists posted by the college and going to the admission portal to reserve your seat. This is what I did for admission to the financial markets course.
