Chandragupt Institute of Management Patna (CIMP) has was established in the year 2008 as an autonomous institution, with active support from the Government of Bihar. The institute was established contributing substantially to the academic and development credentials of Bihar while fulfilling the primary role of training students to become effective managers. Academic collaborations with universities in the USA, Canada, Sweden and other countries are being initiated for students' exchange programs and other academic/research activities.

CIMP offers a two years Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) to the candidates who have passed their Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.
Admission to PGDM is done on the basis of scores obtained in the qualifying examination and the entrance exam such as CAT/MAT/XAT/MAT.
CIMP also offers Fellow Program and Executive Program in Management to the candidates who have passed their Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.
Admission to FPM is done on the basis of scores obtained in the qualifying examination and the entrance exam such as CAT/GMAT/GRE/RAT.
Admission to EPM is done on the basis of a personal interview.

The application form is available online as well as at the CIMP Campus. The candidates are required to pay the application fee of INR 500 (INR 200 for reserved category) through online or offline mode.

CIMP PGDM Admission 2023

PGDM program offered by CIMP is accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA). During the first year of the program, students learn basic concepts in the areas of Managerial Communication, Finance & Accounting, Marketing, Organizational Behaviour, Human Resource Management, Operations & Quantitative Techniques. While During the second year, students get an opportunity to choose their specialization according to their areas of interest.

CIMP Selection Criteria

Eligible candidates would be shortlisted on the basis of their Test scores (CAT, XAT, and CMAT). Other criteria like the previous academic record and relevant work experience will also be considered while shortlisting.
Shortlisted candidates would be called to attend a Writing Ability Test, Group Discussion & Personal Interview during the month of March 2021.
Candidates will be informed about the GD / PI schedule through emails/phone. Final offer of admission would be declared in the first week of April 2021.
The final merit list would be prepared after considering weighted scores of various components like the Academic record, Test score, Work experience and Performance in the essay, Group discussion & Personal interview.

CIMP FPM & EPM Admission 2023

CIMP also offers a FPM and an EPM program, accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA). The candidates who have passed their Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in any discipline with above 50% marks or equivalent CGPA. The selection will be done on the basis of various entrance examinations.

CIMP Selection Criteria

The candidates applying for FPM, would be shortlisted on the basis of their Test scores (CAT, GMAT, GRE, RAT). Other criteria like the previous academic record and relevant work experience will also be considered while shortlisting.
The candidates are required to submit a proposal narrating their specific topic of research.
The candidates applying for EPM, will be selected on the basis of received application forms. Selected applicants will be called for a personal interview later.
The final selection will be done on the basis of the overall performance of the applicant in all components of the selection process.

Application Form along with Information Brochure can be downloaded from the institute’s website or can be procured from CIMP campus on payment of INR 500 and INR 200 for SC/ST as application fee.
The application fee can also be paid through demand draft in favor of Chandragupt Institute of Management Patna, payable at Patna.
The duly filled application form can be submitted to the CIMP campus through post or in person along with required the documents.
