Remarks :

It just seems like an extension of your 12th where focus or Orientation is mostly on Grades and not on Learning. Despite of all this you would not be assured a high paying job. Gives you a feeling of being let down by the Management. The Department which deals with placements is absolutely inefficient. The peer group is immatured

Ques. Which one should I choose, PGPM Great Lakes, SIIB Pune or NMIMS Hyderabad?

● Top Answer By Niharika Gandhi on 29 Jul 21

Ans. Based on what I heard from my friends at these institutes, I will say choose GLIM PGDM. The course is great and over the years it gained popularity. SIIB will also be a good option if you plan to major in international business. For placement wise GLIM offers you a wide range of companies from much-diversified backgrounds for a 2 years program, unlike the 1 year where a majority of IT companies visit. You will receive the same placement opportunities as the PGPM program as the school allows PGDM guys to sit for companies for PGPM unless specified by the company on an experience basis. Here are the recent placement highlights for GLIM PGDM. Placement Average 100% Average CTC 10.4 LPA Highest CTC 21.5 LPA Top recruiting sectors FMCG, IT/ITES, Consulting No of PPOs offered 16 Your preference order should be GLIM PGPM> SIIB> NMIMS Hyderabad based on the overall ranking, brand values, and placements.Read more

Ques. Which is the best choice for an experienced IT professional? XIMB, TAPMI or Great Lakes for MBA?

● Top Answer By Mukul Parashar on 13 Jul 21

Ans. If you want to join the IT sector after completing the course and have more than 4 years of experience, the Great Lakes 1 year program is a good option to consider, but it is something that will help you advance your career in the same direction. When it comes to acceptance, a regular PGDM of two years more preferred. Given the chance, even if you want to do IT roles but on a higher level of management, Great Lakes can be a good option, but it can not compete with XIMB's brand value. So, your preference order should be as the following. XIMB BM Great Lakes TAPMI I am not considering XIMB HR; if that is your priority, there is no need to consider other options because the other two B-schools do not have comparable backgrounds to match XIMB HR. I’m referring to regular PGDM programs in which you will choose your majors later on after exploring common subjects offered in the first few terms. The final decision is yours to make.Read more

Ques. My daughter has an option between IMT Ghaziabad (DCP) and Great Lakes Chennai for the 2020-2022 PGDM program. Which one would you recommend and why?

● Top Answer By Nikhil Ranjan on 08 Jul 21

Ans. Out of IMT Ghaziabad and Great Lakes Chennai, Great Lakes Chennai is far better than IMT Ghaziabad as it is continuously growing and developing. The packages offered at Great Lakes are increasing and this attracts students the most. The faculty at Great Lakes Chennai is the best and supportive. When it comes to IMT Ghaziabad, their ROI is not good in the current phase. The students of DCP do not cooperate with the other students of the college. Categories IMT Ghaziabad (DCP) Great Lakes Chennai Course Fee 19.40 lakhs 11.81 lakhs Highest CTC 30 LPA 25 LPA Average CTC 12.5 LPA 16 LPA Recruiting Companies Pepsi, Loreal, Abbott, Oracle, etc. Accenture, JP Morgan, Crisil, McKinsey, etc. Great Lakes is a better college than IMT Ghaziabad DCP and you must go for it.Read more

Ques. Given a choice between GIM GLIM FORE and TAPMI for PGDM marketing which one would you pick and why?

● Top Answer By Komal Chawla on 29 Jun 21

Ans. All institutes are very similar and choosing among the four is really a difficult task. Among these, only TAPMI offers a specialized program, PGDM Marketing to the students having started in the academic year 2019-20. The other 3 institutes, GIM, GLIM Chennai, and Fore New Delhi offer only PGDM which will include a specialization later on. The various data for the PGDM programs of all four institutes are provided in the table below. Institute GIM Goa GLIM Chennai Fore School of Management, New Delhi TAPMI Manipal Program Fee (Indian nationals) INR 17.21 lakhs INR 17.15 lakhs (including hostel) INR 15.98 lakhs INR 18.3 lakhs (including hostel) Highest CTC INR 25.60 LPA INR 21.5 LPA INR 27 LPA INR 25 LPA Average CTC INR 10.71 LPA INR 11 LPA INR 10.7 LPA INR 11.3 LPA If you want to choose an institute purely based on the rankings, industry links, opportunities, and overall reputation, then GLIM Chennai is the best among them. If you are thinking of marketing specifically then GIM Goa is a better option as the marketing faculty at the institute is considered the best among the lot. If you are interested in International Business then Fore is the best choice for you.Read more

Ques. Is Great Lakes Gurgaon PGPM as good as Chennai campus in terms of education and placements?

● Top Answer By Komal Chawla on 27 Jun 21

Ans. Yes, Great Lakes Gurgaon offers a PGPM course as good as that of the Chennai campus, having most factors in common such as education, exposure, placements, etc. The points below give a brief level of comparison between the two campuses of Great Lakes Institute, stating their advantages. The faculty for MBA is shared between the Gurgaon and Chennai campus, which makes both the institute almost similar in education and faculty support. The amount of exposure on both campuses is quite good and is at par with each other. The dean ensures that both the institute provide equal opportunities to students and maintain similar education standards. This is a great plus to both the institutes. The Gurgaon campus of Great Lakes got a new campus, which is quite large and has all necessary facilities inside the campus. The campuses have a combined placement during their placement sessions. The following table gives a brief overview of the recent placements: Particulars Great Lakes Chennai Great Lakes Gurgaon Highest Salary 31.75 LPA 15.5 LPA Average Salary 13.63 LPA 9.02 LPA Students placed 90% 95% Therefore, in terms of almost all relevant factors, PGPM at Great Lakes Gurgaon is as good as that of Great Lakes Chennai. So, you can consider it to be a good option for the management degree, which offers plenty of opportunities, just like the Chennai campus.Read more
