Admission:

I have come across IBS through one of my friends, and IBS has a very easy application process. I contacted one of the administrators and he asked me to fill out the admission form which anyone can find on the ifcai website. then I had to pay 600 INR as admission fees. the second process was a panel interview with the management where there were basic questions asked. when it comes to eligibility for BBA anyone from any course can apply as long as they're 13 graduates. all over, the admission process is pretty simple and straightforward.

ICFAI Business School takes CAT and IBSAT. I gave IBSAT and it was a fairly easy exam. It was a virtually monitored exam and it can be taken from anywhere. The next steps involved a presentation and personal interviews.

Ques. How do I join in IBS Hyderabad?

● Top Answer By Hardik Nagar on 21 Feb 23

Getting admitted to ICFAI Business School Hyderabad is relatively easier compared to other MBA colleges. To gain admission, you will need to possess average aptitude skills. The first step is to appear for the IBSAT, which is conducted by IBS for all its campuses. The exam is relatively easy and can be cleared with decent learning and regular practice of aptitude for not more than 3 months. Additionally, you can also apply to IBS through other MBA exam scores, but IBSAT is easier and more widely accepted. Based on your performance in the IBSAT, you will receive an invitation for a Group Discussion and Personal Interview (GD-PI) at the IBS Hyderabad campus.  During the GD-PI, you have the opportunity to showcase your communication skills, domain knowledge, general affairs, and intent for pursuing an MBA. If you perform well in the GD-PI, you will have a good chance of getting admitted to IBS Hyderabad. Although there may be other ways to get admitted to IBS Hyderabad, appearing for the IBSAT and performing well in the GD-PI is the most straightforward method....Read more

Ques. What is the MBA admissions process at IBS Hyderabad?

● Top Answer By Shubham Tiwari on 24 Feb 23

To successfully clear the first round, you must obtain the minimum score required by the entrance exams the college accepts, such as NMAT (150), CAT (60th percentile), and IBSAT. If you are selected for the next round, the college will contact you via phone call and email to inform you about the GDPI (Group Discussion and Personal Interview) round. Your academic record, performance in the group discussion, and interview will be combined to determine your overall percentile. Based on this percentile, you will be allotted a campus. If you are selected for IBS Hyderabad, you will receive a confirmation email after completing all of the aforementioned steps....Read more

Ques. Is IBS a good college for an MBA in marketing? Which is the best campus: Hyderabad, Mumbai, or Pune?

● Top Answer By Jayant Thakur on 24 Feb 23

Among the campuses of IBS, Hyderabad is considered the best, followed by Mumbai and Pune. It is assumed that the syllabus and course content are similar across the three campuses. Hyderabad is considered to be the best in terms of facilities and resources, while Mumbai is also a strong option, with good professors, case studies, presentations, and a well-equipped campus. While IBS Hyderabad has a strong placement record, most of the offered positions are in sales. There are also opportunities in advertising, retailing, and other fields, but they are less prevalent. The pay packages offered by the college are decent. After gaining some experience through campus placements, you can explore job opportunities outside the college. It is important to note that none of the IBS campuses are AICTE approved, but they are affiliated with ICFAI University in Dehradun. As an alternative, you can opt for a distance MBA program by paying an additional fee....Read more

Ques. I have 2 years of work experience and I have got admission to IBS Hyderabad. Should I join? Is it good?

● Top Answer By Saija Luthra on 24 Feb 23

To make an informed decision, you need to analyze your future prospects. Consider where you see yourself two years from now, or, if money is a primary concern for you, estimate how much you will earn in two years. The average package offered by IBS Hyderabad is 6 lakhs. However, if you have a couple of years of experience and are in the top 10th percentile of your batch, there is a good chance you could earn 7-8 lakhs. In this case, enrolling in IBS Hyderabad would be a viable option if you don't see yourself earning a similar salary within two years. Furthermore, you should evaluate your ability to gain admission to a better business school such as an IIM. If you have the potential to do so, it would be a wise decision to invest your efforts into pursuing this opportunity. However, if you really believe that you are not in that league, enrolling in IBS Hyderabad would still be a viable option, as discussed in the second paragraph....Read more

Ques. What are the chances of getting into IBS Hyderabad with a 71.1 percentile score after GD PI?

● Top Answer By Samar Singh on 16 Feb 23

Technically speaking, you need at least 87 percentile to make it into IBS Hyderabad. Although I have seen someone get in even with a 76 percentile, you should know that the chances are extremely low. This is because the students who get selected initially sometimes leave after getting offers from other B Schools like Great Lakes, NMIMS or FORE that are more convenient for them. This in turn empties several seats and candidates with a lower percentile who set ISB Hyderabad as the first preference get a chance to get admission. Even if you are unable to make it into Hyderabad, try for the Mumbai campus....Read more

Ques. Should I join IBS Hyderabad, XIME Bangalore, or take CAT again?

● Top Answer By Krishna Gilda on 15 Feb 23

My friend was in a similar dilemma and eventually went for XIME Bangalore. She made this decision as she was strongly against the extremely rigorous campus life of IBS Hyderabad. The huge batch size leaves little opportunity for the average student and you have to compete with thousands and it’s not worth it. Also, the quality of education suffers as a result of the huge batch size. You should go for TAPMI as it requires work experience and honestly, re-attempting is not a wise decision when you can’t really predict your future. So it’s best to grab the opportunity at hand and make the best use out of it...Read more
