Admission :

Admissions are granted on merit basis. I applied on the official college website with all academic details including my GMAT exam scores. The admission process was smooth and they were supportive enough to give me time to present the relative document. College being near my house was my primary choice for the PGDM program.

Placement Experience :

Placements are pretty good here and the level of support we got from the placement department was impeccable. Many well-recognized brands visit our campus in order to recruit students for different profiles. But the package offered can be improved. Our placement cell usually invites companies like American Express, ANZ Bank, Axis Bank, CARE Ratings, Citi Bank, CRISIL, etc. during the placement drive. The average packages offered to the students of our batch were around 12 LPA which was pretty great.

Remarks :

Our institute heavily pushes the students towards extracurricular activities along with academics. Sports and other cultural activities are also quite prevalent here. Cultural fests are also pretty good and the cultural dance performances during the performance were heartwarming.

Remarks :

What doesn't kill you, makes you a lot stronger! IMI was such a place. It was rigorous both on an academic and emotional front. At the end of it, perhaps whatever I'm today is because of this institute. The course structure, fees, and job opportunities were good. Along with this, the college promotes the idea of shaping up the personality of the student on a good note and in the best possible way. I was indeed happy to be a part of this college and each year I enjoyed the activities and studies.

Remarks :

It was an amazing experience clubbed with fun, learning, and exchange work experience with foreign colleagues. We got to visit many MNCs during our corporate visits and interacted with different people. Our college believes in the celebration of life and almost all the festivals are celebrated with utmost joy. All of our labs were digitized and had all the advanced tools for an advanced learning experience.

Ques. Which is better IMI Delhi or IIM Sirmaur?

● Top Answer By Kiran Chugh on 04 Oct 21

Ans. One of my friends recently graduated from IIM Sirmaur, so I can give you some insight regarding the institute.  Only a few of the batch have graduated from IIM Sirmaur. Despite that, the placement record for the institute has been quite good. According to the recent placement highlights the average CTC offered at the institute is 9 LPA and the highest CTC was 16 LPA.  Once you join an IIM, you will realize that there are many factors other than placements that make an IIM unique. The academic rigor, the course material followed at IIM Sirmaur are great. It follows Harvard Business School cases. It is one of the only 8 IIMs to have Bloomberg testimonials.  IIM Sirmaur is a part of the IIM family and is mentored by IIM Lucknow. So, you will find the same academic and work environment as other IIMs. Although being a new IIM, it will need some time to establish the overall culture on campus.  You can definitely choose IIM Sirmaur for your management degree. As the institute will be well-established in the coming years and being an IIM alumnus does offer certain benefits. Read more

Ques. Which institute is better for pursuing an MBA, BIMTECH, SOIL, or IMI?

● Top Answer By Kiran Chugh on 14 Sept 21

Ans. I would say that IMI is still better than BIMTECH Greater Noida and SOIL Institute of Management. One of the biggest reasons for the same is its placements. The table below will compare all the three institutes’ placement records. Parameters  BIMTECH, Greater Noida  SOIL Institute of Management  IMI, New Delhi Highest salary INR 23 LPA (International) INR 18 LPA (Domestic) INR 15 LPA INR 29.75 LPA Average salary INR 8.13 LPA INR 8.55 LPA INR 12.77 LPA Median salary - - INR 12.15 LPA Apart from that, IMI has a better brand value than BIMTECH or SOIL Institute of Management. The faculty and consequently the teaching standards at IMI are also better than the other two institutes. The higher cut-off of IMI in comparison to BIMTECH and SOIL Institute of Management also indicates the students’ preference of IMI over the other two. So In all respects, IMI is a better and sensible option to choose among the three.Read more

Ques. Which is better, IMI Delhi PGDM or UBS Chandigarh?

● Top Answer By Admin on 09 Jul 21

Ans. I have a few friends from IMI Delhi and they vouch for their PGDM course. Here are some of the things that you need to know about the PGDM program offered by IMI. Location: As it is based in Delhi, the location is definitely an advantage. There are perks to living in the city with MNCs in close vicinity. There are also multiple hangout options and tourist spots you can explore. Accreditation: Being the country’s first corporate-sponsored B school has major advantages. It is associated with AMBA which puts the college in the league of Global MBAs. Faculty: The faculties are well-qualified and experienced in their fields which makes IMI a good choice for Management programs. Student exchange: With strong ties to global prominent B-schools, you will be given the advantage to spend a trimester abroad to study in a B-school of your choice. Alumni base: The alumni from the college are spread all over various industries and domains. This definitely plays as an advantage to the college’s credibility and rapport. Batch strength: A smaller batch strength is always better as far as placements are concerned. IMI has a very good batch strength with PGDM HR having a class strength of just 60 students. Peer learning: With a filtered admission process, the college chooses the best minds of the country. Therefore, you will have a good peer learning experience. Placements: Based on the recent trends, an average package of about INR 12.7 lakhs per annum with 100% placements can be expected from the institute. If you need more information, you can refer to TIME’s ranking and make a decision accordingly. Overall, IMI is a really good option. You should research well before going ahead.Read more

Ques. What should be preferred among IMI Delhi PGDMHR and XIMB MBA- HR?

● Top Answer By Mansi Bhatnagar on 02 Jul 21

Ans. XIMB-HR and XAHR are both one and the same. The former has been renamed to the latter. XAHR ranks above IMI New Delhi in HR. Not because of the placement prospectus but because of the faculties. Most of the faculties are from have great industry experience. The course is as per the global standards of SHRM. They provides 100% placement in both finals and summers. You also get the experience of the outbound learning program organized by TSAF or TATA steel adventure foundation. The new campus is a little outside the main city and the only advantage of IMI New Delhi is its location. XIMB-HR and XAHR are both one and the same. Ques. Which college should I prefer IMT Ghaziabad or IMI Delhi when it comes to industry exposure?

● Top Answer By Admin on 22 Jun 21

Ans. My cousin studied at IMT Ghaziabad and his first-hand experience proves that it is indeed a great choice when it comes to industry exposure. IMT has great tie-ups with a number of industries inside and surrounding the NCR. My cousin was lucky enough to visit a couple of them during their field trips. According to him, the most evident field trip was to Maruti Suzuki’s Gurugram plant. At Maruti Suzuki, he came across the ultimate practical implementation concept called the Kaizen. The Kaizen concept taught him about getting the people on the assembly line to come up with their own new ideas to reduce waste and increase productivity. My cousin still remembers the Kaizen concept after 12 years working in the industry because this concept came to him in different forms and names throughout the journey! He stills continues to implement various productive tools and concepts in his office which he learned during his industrial visits from IMT, Ghaziabad. He believes that such a deep exposure to industrial knowledge and has helped him in increasing the productivity of various spheres he worked in. At the end of the day, the credits of his incredible experience go to IMT Ghaziabad. The proximity to various companies scattered over the NCR region gives the institute a huge advantage. Therefore, IMT Ghaziabad can be recommended over IMI, Delhi any day.Read more
