I did my UG in the same campus (LICET). I have seen LIBA for entire four years of my UG. The Method of Teaching and Learning is quite different from any other B-schools and all the academic and cultural events are conducted and organized by the students itself, which helps to gain lots of experience and skills that is needed for an MBA graduate. The placement is also really good. I remember our Director Father telling "I won't sleep until I get you all placed in a Good Company provided you put in efforts from your side". The campus LIfe is Beyond Awesome. Our Director Father is a real enthusiast and the staff members are very friendly and welcoming for any suggestions or doubts. This college has everything that an MBA aspirant needs.
Placement Experience :
LIBA is bringing in lots of placement opportunities. They have also made internship as mandatory by which many students get PPO during their internship itself. Previous year Asian Paints have recruited for the highest salary package of 1500000. They have a Alumni committee which has constant contact with the alumnus.
My college journey was amazing as well as impressive. As I enjoyed my days here with full energy and happiness. I also managed to make a good bonding with my faculty. As they are still in contact and help me during each and every step.
The overall journey in this college was amazing as I was able to make a lot of new changes and modifications in my personal attributes as well as learned a lot. Apart from this, I also made a lot of new friends and seniors were good too.
Ques. What is your experience of doing MBA at LIBA Loyola College in Chennai?
● Top Answer By Aaditya Hari Nair on 29 Sept 21
Ans.One of my cousins graduated from Loyola. His experience at Loyola Institute of Business Administration (LIBA) is quite good. First of all, I will have to answer based on my current interactions with the faculty and some of the students.
My friend has been fairly active concerning the alumni meetings and has met most of the professors and quite a few students.
There is one marked difference between the time my friend studied there and now, that is the significant improvement in the facilities.
There is a proper hostel, the entire campus is wi-fi enabled and the auditorium and other facilities are pretty much as good as it gets.
The classes are like any other college.
There is a mix of full-time and guest faculty; they also do not follow any particular schedule when it comes to guest speakers.
Try not to compare it to an IIM. Though the standards are definitely above average and better.
There is still a vibe of a laid-back environment here when comparing them to a B school like XLRI.

Apart from software companies picking up people for their consulting teams - Cognizant, etc. The industry presence in Chennai is not the same as in Mumbai. Overall, it could be one of the good options among other average-performing colleges.Read more
Ques. Which is best for an MBA, IIT Madras or LIBA?
● Top Answer By Keshav Jindal on 30 Jul 21
Ans.Having friends studying in both the institutes, I can say that IIT Madras is the better one for sure. This choice is not based on the placement data on the website. It is because of the exposure it provides, who’d worth is known only to an IIT student.
You will have the opportunity to connect with the creators of many tech start-ups at IIT Madras' incubation cell, also known as IITM Research Park.
You can also connect with industry stalwarts and policymakers, through a variety of interactive sessions held at department and institute levels.
To name a few, Arun Jaitley, Chidambaram, Kiran Bedi, and Flipkart's Bansals.
You can collaborate with the brightest minds of our age.
World-class faculty, including several world-class scholars you get to meet.
You can be a member of an ecosystem that promotes extracurricular and co-curricular activities to their full potential.
A higher faculty-to-student ratio is present.

Asian Paints, Bank of America, CitiBank, IBM, etc.
IIT Madras has a good educational environment and a diverse crowd. It broadens your horizons in a variety of ways. It inspires the students to be more motivated in life.
The only disadvantage is the quarter system. In my perspective, a semester or trimester would have been preferable.Read more

Ans.First of all these B-Schools are the top most B-Schools in India. All of them offered PGDM programs in various specialized areas. Among these seven BSchools out of which GIM, NIBM, and IIFM Bhopal are the sectorial institutes that are offering PGDM programs in 4-5 specialized subjects.

All of these colleges have highly qualified faculty members.
GLIM, FORE, and GIM have the highest no. of faculty strengths which is more than 50 whereas IIFM has 35 well-experienced faculty members.
LIBA, NIBM, and IFMR have the least number of teaching members such as more than 10 members.
