Being in SJMSOM has its biggest perk to experiencing the department fests such as sports and cultural fest and also the main IITB fests like Mood, indigo, and Tech fest. Students also have the access to all the facilities at IITB.
Students in their first year are given co-ed hostels and in the 2nd year given a personal room. Hostels have all the necessary facilities and amenities. The mess fees and hostel fees can be found on the IIT Bombay website.
The campus is famous for its greenery. The facilities are all top-grade. Most hostels have sports courts. E-vehicle is present for in-campus transportation. The weather is good for most time of the year.
The hostels are great. The traveling is a little difficult but manageable. The food menu changes every week. The hostels have competitions and also celebrate special days with evening parties and a special menu.
Being the part of IIT Bombay ecosystem is one of the best campus life one can get during an MBA. Fests are going on throughout the year on campus ranging from the Avenues, MoodIndigo, Techfest, E-Conclave, E-Summit, and many more. We have great infrastructure facilities available not just in terms of classrooms and library but also sports facilities, hostels, and other recreational activities. There are clubs and teams for all the domains which regularly conduct events and seminars all year long which helps in gaining live industry insights. The startup ecosystem at IIT Bombay is very vast with access to incubators, industry experts, professors, research facilities, etc. Being in Mumbai is also an added advantage where one has a lot of options outside the campus as well.
We are provided a shared room in the first year and a single room in the second year. All the hostels have provision stores, stationery, laundry, sports facilities, and a gym. The food quality at the mess is good and the variety on the menu is also satisfactory.
The annual fest is Mood Indigo. it is a large opportunity to meet new people and see a lot of artists. It is conducted in December. Books and journals are available in abundance and in multiple quantities so they never really run out. The classrooms are state of the art and have a step system and charging points. There are mics and speakers for faculties and large whiteboards along with multiple projectors in every classroom. IITB has a great sports culture and PG events, inter-hostel events, and more go on all year long. There are over 300 social groups and clubs run by students here and they are open to everyone while conducting events all across the year.

My admission process was pretty smooth the course requires 98%ile in CAT for open category students. The CAT form can be filled out at https://iimcat.ac.in. The admission process link for the SJMSOM MBA program can be found on the official website. The admission is perfect.
VRBy - VASHODIA CHAHAT RAJINDERFor MBA from SJMSOM, I applied for the CAT exam first. It was for the year 2021 and scored well to get a call from the institute. After getting the call, there was an online interview selection process and post that final selection list was released.
VNBy - Vinayak NandaThe complete admission process was seamless for SJMSOM as compared to other institutes. It starts with appearing for the CAT examination in which we need to score 90 percentile overall and 75 percentile in sectionals to be eligible in the open category ( www.som.iitb.ac.in ). The application forms opened around the first week of January and we applied from the admissions page of SJMSOM for the same. The shortlists were released around mid-February and the interviews were held in the first week of march through an AI-based interactive platform named Gather. We were also allotted PI Buddies who aided us throughout the process.
