Backed with the legacy of more than 65 years, Jagannath Kishore College aka J.K. College is recognized as a premier institute not only in Purulia but also is considered one of the best in West Bengal. Affiliated to Sidho Kanho Birsha University, the college established in 1948 is sponsored by the Government of West Bengal. The UGC recognized college responsible for the education of more than 5248 students was accredited by NAAC and obtained B+ Grade.

Selection Procedure

Candidates will be given admission based on the merit secured in the previous qualifying examinations. The process will be conducted in an ‘Online Admission System’ in all streams. The students will also be required to go through the counseling process. Admission will be made on the day of counseling after submitting the requisite amount of fees and documents. The merit list will be calculated from the aggregate of the best 4 subjects in 10+2 examination.

JK College Purulia Scholarship

Due to the nominal fee structure, the college doesn't offer an education loan facility. It doesn't have its scholarship programs but it accommodates the West Bengal Government initiated scholarships. It also offers some stipend to the poor and meritious students.
