What students say about Jai Hind College - [JHC]

Likes

  • The course for which I have opted is amazing as it provides knowledge about things that are still unknown or in progress.
  • You get a good amount through internships, like around 10-15k per month, and a package of 3-5 lakh per year.
  • Yes, there are some great placement opportunities from the college itself, and the professors are always eager to give a recommendation.
  • There are scholarships for good students, namely: Shindhi Association scholarship, Principal scholarship, sports scholarship, etc.
  • I assure youll see the best chicks and studs on campus; however, the majority of the crowd is Sindhi and Jain as its a minority for them.
  • But I think the facilities might be good because whatever I have experienced with this college was up to the mark!
  • Jai Hind has the best infrastructure in South Bombay, along with one of the best teaching faculties.

Dislike

  • The fees were minimal, and the college is not providing any scholarships for now, but they provide fee concessions to some categories of students.
  • Sind College, Karachi, was assisted by a few other educationists who came together under the banner of the Sind Educationists Association, headed by the founder Principal, Prof T. M. Advani.
  • I haven’t opted for hostel, as Jaihind College doesnt have any hostel facility. College students are generally from South Mumbai. They usually travel by train and hardly have any need for a hostel

Placement Experience:

Second-year students start getting internships and third-year students get placements. Every year the big 4 companies visit the college and hire around 40 students. The highest package was 8LPA by KPMG and the average package was 4LPA by other companies. 60% of students get placements. I will start my MBA after my graduation.

Remarks:

Eligibility for bcom is 70% and the form is on the college website costing rs100 and dates are out in the month of June and if you are from a minority Kota then you need 60% but now the admission process is on basis of the entrance exam.
