The students of the final year become eligible for the campus placements. There is a different society for campus placements. There are many companies like Axis bank, Ernest young, etc for the placement of the students. The placements are about 80% of the students who apply for the placements.
After the degree, I will pursue a Masters in Economics.
There are a lot of good features like the faculty of Economics is really good. The infrastructure of the college is good. The various societies in the college are good and give a lot of exposure as compared to other colleges. The college fest is awesome here.
Since it is DU there are no ACs in the classroom so it suffocates the classes. There are many floors on the campus and lifts can not be used by the students.
I preferred this college because it is in the south campus and situated in one of the good areas of Delhi. It is in Top 10 colleges of the Du lists.
One of the best college in Delhi and i had the best time or days till date
First priority are given to candidates who meets the criteria of the merit list based on percentage. Secondly there are concessions for candidates who belong to special class category like Christians, Catholics and SC,ST,OBC etc who are underprivileged and who belong to the backward class but above all, the marks/percentage are the main focus
The college management tries their best. Like any other institution, there are constant ebbs and flows, but you learn to rely on them. The officiating principal Sr Rosily is a kind and helpful figure. What can be made better are the prices of canteen food. Where most are willing to pay the high amount for the food, it can burn a hole in a student's pocket living far away from their families.
The first step is to register on the main Delhi University website, where one can refer to the cut off lists published and apply to the chosen college. From there for colleges like St Stephen's and JMC, one has to fill individual forms present on the college website. The merit list is made based on your percentage and if you fall in any quota. For instance- Sports quota, Christian Quota, PWD, etc. JMC and Miranda College were my priority as according to the cut off list, I could get admission in these. I specifically wanted an all girls college.
JMC is the Best College with a healthy atmosphere and loving Human Beings. The College totally remake the students life in the bestest version possible with tons of opportunities and with a great life experience.
JMC is the best college in south campus for girls. It gives students a lot of exposure and a diverse group of students. There are many different clubs for students with a good faculty. It has a great location and easy to commute.
Ques. Which college is better, JMC or DCAC for a BA programme?
● Top Answer By Neha Rani on 29 Oct 21
Ans.I have friends from both JMC and DCAC. Based on their experience, I will say DCAC is a better option.
The student crowd at the institute is diverse.
Facilities at DCAC are well-experienced and helpful.
It got high ratings from NAAC and India Today Magazine.
The institute offers add-on certificates and diplomas in foreign language courses.
DCAC has great infrastructural facilities. There is a library with a great collection of books. There is also a gym and table tennis room on campus. The auditorium is equipped with special lights and sound effects.
DCAC campus has a basketball court, a volleyball court.
DCAC is not that strict about attendance.
JMC is definitely a reputed college, however, in comparison, DCAC is better.Read more
Ques. Which is better for a B.Com, Shaheed Bhagat Singh College or JMC?
● Top Answer By Sagar Pandey on 29 Oct 21
Ans.Both colleges belong to the same league. However, for a B.Com degree, Shaheed Bhagat Singh College is better. It has a better faculty base for Commerce. It also offers better gender diversity.
Although JMC has good faculty for B.Com, it’s not better than SBSC. JMC has a vast campus but there are not many hangout places or food joints, etc. Overall, SBSC is definitely a better option for doing B.Com. Read more

Ques. What shall I choose: LSR statistics Hons or JMC economics Hons?
● Top Answer By Debdeep Majumder on 29 Oct 21
Ans.LSR and JMC both are reputed colleges. If we compare then LSR is definitely a better college than JMC. LSR is the best girls college in DU, followed by JMC.
However, it’s best to choose the course of your interest over college. As the course will have more effect on your future. So, research about the course that you are interested in, in both LSR and JMC.
In general, as a subject, Economics Hons has better scope than Statistics Hons. However, if you are interested in numbers, Statistics is a better fit for you.Read more
Ques. How do you maintain 67% attendance in JMC or DU? How many classes should one attend in a week?
● Top Answer By Sapna Malik on 29 Oct 21
Ans.According to my friends from Delhi University, it is not easy to maintain 67% attendance. You will have to attend classes regularly and it also depends on your timetable. If you have 7 lectures per week for a specific subject, you have to attend at least 4, in order to achieve 67% attendance. Also, the classes can get canceled for fests/events/protests, etc. So, don’t bunk classes frequently. Especially if you are in any kind of society. In that case, even after as many classes as you can, you won’t have an attendance percentage above 70-75%.
If you are not in any kind of society, it’s better to attend more than half of the lectures each week.Read more
