Ques. Can I get admission in Kirori Mal College for political science hons if my best of four is 96.25?

    ● Top Answer By Anil Tigga on 08 Nov 21

Ans. According to my friends from Kirori Mal College, with a percentage of 96.25, you will have a decent chance of getting admission in Political Science (Hons). However, it also depends on your caste.  In 2021, the required cutoff for Political Science (Hons) was 98.75-99.25 for the General category. With your course, you can expect to get into tier 2 colleges like KMC, Venky, SGTB Khalsa, Ramjas, Gargi, JMC, etc. Read more

Ques. Which is better: a B.Com (Hons) from Shaheed Bhagat Singh College or a B.Com from Kirori Mal College?

    ● Top Answer By Shivani Tiwari on 08 Nov 21

Ans. Choosing either Kirori Mal College or Shaheed Bhagat Singh College depends on your convenience and future plans. Both are quite reputed. I have a few friends from SBSC and their experience with the college has been great.  Here are some of the highlights of SBSC. SBSC has a great placement record. In the recent placement drive, the average CTC offered was 3.5 lakhs and the highest CTC was 18 LPA.  The college has a number of societies and committees that you can join. SBSC has the best Commerce department on the south campus. It is in fact among the top 10 Commerce departments in DU. The student crowd is friendly. The faculty members are great.  Overall, SBSC can be a decent option for pursuing your B.Com degree. However, you should always give preference to the course over college. So, choose the institute that offers a better program for your choice of course. Read more

    ● Top Answer By Anil Tigga on 08 Nov 21

Ans. Here is how you can apply for hostel seats in Kirori Mal College according to my friends.  After you secure admission at KMC, go to the hostel gate and get the brochure containing the form, by paying the required amount. It usually costs around Rs. 150.  Fill up the form carefully and submit it.  You will be notified to appear for a personal interview. It is not exactly an interview, you will just need to sign against your name. Be on time. After a few days, the cutoff will be declared and a list of eligible candidates will be displayed on the notice board.  If you are eligible you will just need to visit the hostel office and submit the required fees and documents.Read more

Ques. Is a B.Sc. (physical science) with CS good from Kirori Mal College, instead of B.Sc. honors from off-campus colleges?

    ● Top Answer By Anil Tigga on 08 Nov 21

Ans. A friend of mine was in a similar condition a few years back and he choose Kirori Mal College for his B.Sc (Physical Science with CS). According to him, you should choose the course that interests you.  However, the computer science courses offered by DU can’t be compared to B.Tech. As the curriculum used at DU is not that great. However, the learning environment for Honors courses is better. It’s better to consider all your option and choose the one that suits your future goals. Read more

Ques. Which college is the best for a B.Sc(honours) in mathematics, Ramjas College or Kirori Mal College?

    ● Top Answer By Janvi Bhambri on 08 Nov 21

Ans. Both Ramjas College and Kirori Mal College are quite reputed colleges. There are no such parameters to differentiate between these two. Both of these two institutes have good faculty bases. You will also get decent facilities to learn at these colleges.  The only significant factor that can be mentioned is that Kirori Mal has a NAAC A+ accreditation with a better grade as compared to Ramjas. However, it’s not wise to compare these two institutes based on grade. You will have decent opportunities at both. So, you can opt for any of these two based on your convenience. Read more
