Ujjain Engineering College is a public institute,established in 1966 by the government of Madhya Pradesh. The institute is located at Indore Road, Vasant Vihar, Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh.
Ujjain Engineering College is approved by AICTE and is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya. The institute was declared autonomous by the state govt. in the year 1998.
The college offers B.Tech and M.E/M.Tech programs under various specialisations for which admissions are on the basis of entrance exam, viz; JEE Main, GATE. Students can also apply for the UG programme on the basis of 10+2 marks but preference will be given JEE merit marks, further selection is done by counselling conducted by DTE for UG programs.
The institute also provides part time degree courses in Civil, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering and Doctoral Programme (Ph-D) in various research areas;
UEC provides scholarships to their students who are eligible for the same and also has a good placement record. Companies like Uttam Galva Steel, Yash Technologies, BYJU’s, LUPIN, TCS, Wipro, Infosys.
