Lakhimpur Girls' College was established on 16th August, 1972 in order to provide higher education to the female candidates. The college is situated in the state of Assam .

The college offers BA and B.Sc under Major and General courses at undergraduate level. At postgraduate level, the college offers only M.Sc. with Home Science.

Students will be admitted to B.A./B.Sc. strictly on merit basis in both Major and General Courses. The merit list for General Course will be prepared on the basis of the total marks obtained in the first five subjects offered in 10+2 level Examination. For PG course, eligible candidates need to appear in admission test conducted by the college.

Lakhimpur Girls College offers Bachelor of Arts (BA) and Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) to the female students who want to pursue their career in the field of Arts and Science respectively. The duration period for each of the courses is 3 years.

Considering the interest of students, BA is offered in two categories - Major and General. Admission, is strictly based on marks scored at 10+2 level or equivalent. The total number of seats available depends on the nature of specialization opted by the eligible candidates.

Admission in B.Sc is done on the basis of marks obtained in 10+2 level or equivalent in relevant discipline. The intake capacity varies depending upon the nature of specialization.

Lakhimpur Girls College PG Admission 2023

Lakhimpur Girls' College has introduced P.G. course in Home science from the academic session  for the first time in the North East India in college level. The duration period is two years and total number of seats available is 15.

In order to seek admission, students must be graduate in relevant discipline. The eligible candidates will be selected on the marks achieved in graduation and marks obtained in admission test conducted by the college.

Admission:

The eligibility criteria are students should pass their 10+2 mark with a maximum of 80%. The application form is available on the college website you can go and visit the website, and no application fees in taken which is a good thing. The dates are usually after the completion of the 10+2 exam.
