Remarks :

I literally chose this course just because I want this college. But I'll never regret it. My course teaches how industry works, and which is required knowledge. About my course practical and the latest knowledge, industry visits are necessary. Events, fests are really nice and you should participate at least once. Connectivity is good as students from whole state and outside come here. Extra curricular activities helps student to find their hobbies and sometimes their future path too.

Placement Experience :

Around 90-95 % students in CS IT, ENTC streams get placed. Where as placements in other streams are relatively lower. The lowest placement is of B.Tech Planning, in which only 2 to 5 students got on campus placements last year in IT service based companies.

Ques. Is NIT Calicut better than VNIT and COEP?

● Top Answer By Komal Chawla on 23 Aug 21

Ans. I have friends from all three of these institutes. Based on what I heard from them, I will say there is not much difference between NIT Calicut and VNIT, as per college reputation. If you are getting admission in your preferred branch at any of these three institutes then you should go for it. All three institutes have good reputations. Here is a brief comparison of the institutes. Parameters  NIT Calicut  VNIT  COEP  Highest CTC  49 LPA  36 LPA  39 LPA  Average CTC  11 LPA  -  7 LPA  Major recruiters  AutoNinja, Bosch, Nokia Accenture, Capgemini, Deloitte ABB, Bosch, Akash Institute A general ranking for the institutes will be NIT C>VNIT>COEP. Read more

Ques. What should I prefer for a CS, NIT Goa, VJTI Mumbai, or COEP Pune?

● Top Answer By Aaditya Hari Nair on 23 Aug 21

Ans. NIT Goa, VJTI Mumbai, and COEP Mumbai are well-known engineering colleges. The choice depends upon you. The following are the points to be considered. If you are Mumbai-based, VJTI is the best choice. The college has played a crucial role in setting up IITs and RECs in India. It has a decent infrastructure. If you are Pune-based, COEP is the best choice. It has the best infrastructure with a big campus and excellent placements. If you want to have an NIT tag under your belt NIT Goa is the best choice. All these colleges are at a similar level. So, you should choose according to your convenience. If you don’t live at any of these locations then your preference order should be COEP/ VJTI > NIT Goa. VJIT has a great placement record. The average CTC offered by the institute is 7 LPA. Read more

Ques. Which college is better NIT Rourkela or College of Engineering, Pune for CSE?

● Top Answer By Monika on 09 Jul 21

Ans. Both NIT Rourkela and College of Engineering, Pune come under the tier-3 Indian engineering colleges. Opting for a college near to your residence would be a wise decision. The CS branch in both these institutes is similar in various aspects. They have an experienced and cooperative faculty. The infrastructure in NIT Rourkela and COEP is pretty decent. When it comes to placements, CS and IT branches at COEP receive better opportunities than NIT Rourkela. Since Pune is known to be an IT focal point, students are able to seize internship programs held by various companies, in their 2nd and 3rd year of engineering itself. The students are allowed to be a part of several co-curricular and extra-curricular activities held at the College of Engineering, Pune throughout their academic career that helps in developing their personality as a whole. Categories CSE at NIT Rourkela CSE at COEP Course Fee 6.40 lakh 3.62 lakh Highest CTC 35 LPA 30 LPA Average CTC 10-12 LPA 12 LPA Recruiting Companies Accenture, Adobe, Wipro, IBM, etc. JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs, Infosys, HCL, etc. The choice is ultimately yours to make. Make a wise decision so that you do not regret it later.Read more

Ques. Is MNNIT Allahabad better than COEP Pune?

● Top Answer By Keshav Jindal on 05 Jul 21

Ans. On an overall basis, MNNIT Allahabad is generally considered one step ahead of COEP, Pune. The reason behind it is that MNNIT is a well-reputed, prestigious institute that recently got placed at rank 3rd in the list of top NITs in India. On the flip side, COEP Pune is a common government college of India. MNNIT is better in terms of placements, infrastructure, research and development cell, alumni network, sports activities, funds disbursement, faculty, and others, as opposed to COEP Pune. The table below gives a brief comparison of the two institutes. Institute MNNIT Allahabad COEP, Pune Highest CTC 49 LPA 39 LPA No of students selected 757 607 Major recruiters IBM, JP Morgan, Byju’s ABB, BOSCH, Akash Institute If you have to choose between both of them, going for MNNIT Allahabad will be a better choice because there can hardly be any comparisons between an NIT and a government-run college of India.Read more

Ques. How good is college of engineering Pune?

● Top Answer By Admin on 20 Apr 21

Ans. This college is one of the best engineering colleges in Maharashtra but not good enough to be one of the best in the country. As far as the college is concerned, it is the 3rd oldest college in Asia and its buildings reflect that. However, on the inside, they are very well redesigned and well equipped. Overall, the campus has an area of 36 acres which is obviously smaller than other IITs and NITs that have 100-acre campuses. The college definitely has its own hostel but it is not big enough to house all students. Being autonomous, it definitely updates its curriculum regularly with industry requirements and has also won quite a few accolades for the same. As far as the crowd is concerned, you will see that most of the students are Maharashtrians coming from different parts of the state but it is a healthy mix of athletes, studious individuals, and people with different talents. Categories College of Engineering Pune Course Fee 1.62 - 2.58 lakh Placement Percentage 79.3% Highest CTC 20 LPA Average CTC 5 LPA Recruiting Companies Texas Instruments, Wipro, TCS, IBM, Accenture, Capgemini, etc. If you are keen on joining clubs, there are many like Robotics, Satellite, Drama, Writing and Radio. These are mainly spearheaded by students and you can join any of them based on your interest. There are also a number of fests like Tech fests, Sports fests, and other cultural festivals and all of them are quite popular. Labs are also fully functional and will usually cater to all your needs. Most instruments are functional, but you might find one or two that are bumpy here and there. The college has recruiting companies like HSBC, Qouvantis, and Mahindra to visit the college. However, with COVID 19, the situation might be a little different. While BVP is not in the top engineering colleges of India, it is decent enough for the opportunities it offers. You can apply here if you are looking to do so.Read more
