What students say about Government Engineering College - [GEC]

Likes

  • I chose Civil Engineering because its in my interest and this college has the best Faculty in the civil field.
  • Regarding internships, the college provides and suggests the best company where we can explore and learn many things during internships.
  • In our college, in the mechanical engineering branch, there are many companies that participate in the placement campus, and many students are placed in big companies. The placement of the mechanical engineering branch is very good. Our seniors are also placed in very good companies.
  • The best of the Gujarat education ministry is in a government college where we have to pay negligible fees of 1500 per year, and girls have to pay 0 rs.
  • This event is awesome and joyful. Our college library has a lot of books and magazines.
  • I am in a government hostel, so the hostel is in very good condition. Because of the government, the hostel is a very secure place, with security guards present. Every room has its own bed, fan, drawer, etc. Additionally, every floor has pantry and washroom facilities.
  • Government Engineering College Rajkot has the best college for computer engineering and an excellent teaching staff.

Dislike

  • College does not provide an atmosphere for your internship program; you have to find a company for your internship. It does not offer any stipend amount.
  • Because no company on our campus is as bad as it is good, our future performance will not be good and will not exceed the standards set by high-performing companies.
  • Mainly, the fee structure is very low due to the government institute. The institute charges 2350 per annum, and the exam fees vary by semester. The hostels and their fees are a little expensive for students.
  • As colleges are very far from the city, it would be difficult for everyone to go.
  • The only bad remark about my college is regarding the network problem.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is too good and faculty members are so humble and calm, they give instant responses to your doubts. I choose automobile engineering because one of the reasons is my interest, I love machines, how they work, etc. And 2nd reason is Rajkot city is the hub of automobile engineering in Gujarat so you got easily job. Especially in mechanical engineering, there are 90 seats available and all are filled. The student ratio in automobile engineering is almost 100% boys. Teaching is so nice, and also every lab is available with the latest machines and other equipment so that you can also learn with a practical approach. The exam is not too difficult

Remarks:

You can get admission to the government engineering college -Rajkot by giving gujcet exam(it is taken by the Gujarat government)in which 40% weightage of gujcet and 60% consider the board exam. This admission process is only available online mode, you just search the ACPC website on google and feel the form on that website

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have chosen the mechanical branch because the demand for mechanical engineers is high in the market. The Faculty of the mechanical department of our campus is good. All the faculty in our GEC Rajkot have masters in mechanical.

Remarks:

Admission through ACPC. I have taken admission through ACPC in which the first was a mock round and then the first round was there. In a mock round, I got my selected college and in the second round also I got my selected college. The admission process is easy.
