What students say about Government Engineering College

Likes

  • This college has the best curriculum and faculty. Despite being in a backward locality, it has very good infrastructure.
  • Its your choice what to do; I think internships are the best way to gain experience and knowledge.
  • Placements and job opportunities are very good in this college. Every month, one company visits the college and offers a good package. The selection process is also good, and some companies also provide internships to students.
  • The fee structure of this college, including tuition fee, library fee, and development fee, is good. Additionally, this college also offers scholarships such as the Sumeda Bihar Scholarship.
  • Campus life is not so good because the college does not have its own hostel facilities. However, the wifi facilities in this college are in very good condition and provide high speed for some time. The infrastructure of the college is also good, although it is currently under construction.
  • Our college does not have a boys hostel yet due to a shortage of space, but I heard from the girls that their hostel is good.
  • College is good, but some of the faculties are not as good as they are supposed to be. Students give their 100% when the extracurricular activities are performed.

Dislike

  • Our college does not provide any internships, and when it comes to placement, this college is the worst of them all because companies do not visit this college.
  • There has been no company visiting our college for the past 4 years. Previously, there were only around 3 or 4 companies visiting, but now there are none.
  • It applies to every student of the college, and it is only done through the governments scheme. The college does not provide any loans to the students, and I think this is very bad.
  • In my college, the ratio is very poor in my branch with only 7 girls and 49 boys. In the mechanical branch, there are 19 girls and 80 boys.
  • The drinking water issue has been present for some years, but no steps have been taken. Therefore, the management is not good enough.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placement from the 6th semester. Companies like CETPA, tosniwal, and tata visited last year and offers around 100-200 seats. About 30% of students are getting placements. I am planning for GATE after my degree.

Remarks:

I got admission via the direct admission process. I searched for an application form on the college website and contacted the proctor section for fee details. The admission process is somehow cumbersome and can be made easier by removing some extra formalities

Placement Experience:

The placement of my college is really good and approximately 70 percent of students are placed from the college. From 6 semester students become eligible for campus placement. The companies are Tata consultancy services, BR soft tech, Victora Hyderabad, BOSCH, GRIFE Collabera, MTX, and many others. The highest package offered by the company is 20 lakh and the average package offered by the company is 7 lakh. The most company allows student has had 60 or 60 above percent. 70 percent of students get placements from my college. My plans after getting a degree are I want firstly to take a placement in companies on the post software engineer and if we did not select the placement for the company then we can try for another company I am also ready for the preparation of gate for M. Tech in IITs and before M. Tech wants to teach in the college, there are many opportunities when we become a computer science engineering like software engineer, data scientists, developer.

Remarks:

The admission process for this college is designed to be accessible. While there is no compulsory entrance exam students are required to fill out the REAP application form and await the organization's merit list which is based on academic performance. Students can easily find the application form application fees and application dates by conducting a simple online search for the REAP process. The college also offers reservation benefits for SC, ST, OBC, and financially weaker students, which helps to make education more inclusive and accessible. In terms of seats, the college offers two types: SFS (self-attested seat) and GAS (government-added seat). The fees for these seats vary, with SFS seats costing approximately 77000 thousand per year and GAS seats costing around 19000. Students admitted to GAS seats are also eligible for a government discount on their fees. Overall, the admission process for this college is transparent and accessible.

Placement Experience:

In starting of the seventh semester there are placement rounds beginning there is 3 step placement process in the first round there is a theory written exam. And after clearing the first round we move on to the technical round where we have to solve real-life problems depending on our Programming skills after that, there is an interview round

Remarks:

Eligibility is reaped examination process. There is a dedicated website of reap where we can see the application dates and fees. I don't have any reservation benefits for myself but there are a few reservation benefits for sc/st students and there are also ews scholarships.

Placement Experience:

There is a good placement ratio in college. Various companies came for placement. 90 to 95 percent of students get placed on campus. After 6 semesters students are eligible for campus placement. Companies like TCS, INFOSYS, Aadani, Land T, Denso, etc. Visit for placement offers. The average package offered by companies is 5 to 6 lakh

Remarks:

The admission process is completed by the REAP. The eligibility is 12 pass out or jee mains entrance test. The priority is given to jee mains students. The reservation benifits are given to sc/St,obc, other state students, and wards of ex-servicemen students. The application fee is 350. In this process, counseling is delayed many times.
