Department of Instrumentation Technology, Kurukshetra University offers B.Tech programs in Regular as well as Lateral Entry modes.

For the Regular program, admission is granted on the basis of JEE Main score followed by HSTES counselling. Application fees for online counselling at HSTES is INR 500.

60% preference will be given to JEE Main marks and rest of the 40% preference will be given to the marks in 10+2 marks. For the Lateral Entry program, admission is granted on the basis of Haryana Lateral Entry Entrance Test.

Admission to M.Tech course is merit-based. Preference will be given to the candidates with a valid GATE score. The application fee is INR 600 and can be paid online by Credit, Debit Cards or through Net Banking.

Candidates can apply either online or offline for B.Tech and M.Tech courses:

For B.Tech:

  • For online application, visit the official website of HSTES.
  • Register for online counselling with respect to the JEE Main score.
  • Registration fee is INR 500 only.
  • For offline application, procure the application form from HSTES office.
  • Make cheque or cash payment while procuring the form.
  • Fill the form and attach the documents and photos as required.
  • Send the completed form to HSTES address by post before the last date of application.

For M.Tech: Mode of application is offline.

  • Prospectus can be downloaded from the University’s website.
  • Or the application form can be filled online through University’s website or admission portal.

Department of Instrumentation Technology, Kurukshetra University Reservation Criteria 2022

The standard reservation criteria applied by HSTES and Kurukshetra University follows the rules laid down by AICTE.

  • For SC candidates: 15% of the seats will be reserved for the candidates belonging to scheduled caste.
  • For ST candidates: 7.5% seats will be allotted to the candidates belonging to scheduled tribe candidates.
  • For OBC candidates: 17% seats will be allotted to the candidates belonging to scheduled tribe candidates.
  • For Kashmiri Migrants: 5% of sanctioned intake in each course in government/university departments and private institutes will be reserved for Kashmiri migrants.
  • For Haryana Government School Topper (HSGT): One seat in each branch of every institute will be reserved for HGST of qualifying examination within sanctioned intake.
  • For Tuition Fee Waiver (TFW): The admission under tuition fee waiver scheme are allowed to fill 5% seats of the total sanctioned intake.
