The Lakshmi Narain College of Technology (LNCT) is a self financed Institute of M.P. started in 1993-94 which at present has a total of 2,034 seats available in undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. The college offers nine different specialisation in BE course and seven different specialisation in M.E./ M.Tech course.

The college accept admissions through various entrance exams. There are also lateral courses available for eligible candidates who want to sit in the second year directly without any entry test. Lakshmi Narain College of Technology (LNCT) Bhopal UG Admissions 2020

The Lakshmi Narain College of Technology offers Bachelor of Engineering (BE) and BE Lateral entry courses in nine different specialisations covering various aspects of technology. A total of 1,200 seats are available for the regular BE degree, whereas, a total of 192 seats is available for the lateral entry students. The duration of regular BE course is of 4 years while for lateral course, the duration is 3 years.

Admission to the regular UG courses in the LNCT is accepted through two different entrance examinations as follows:

75% of the seats are reserved under State Quota for the students from Madhya Pradesh. Admission to this quota is accepted through PET common entrance exam conducted by Professional Examination Board, Chhattisgarh (CGVYAPAM). Please visit the website regularly for more details.
10% of the seats are reserved under All India Quota for candidates from all over India. Admissions to this quota is accepted through AIEEE conducted by CBSE, New Delhi.
The remaining 15% admission is reserved under Management Quota where a candidate is expected to qualify either in PET or AIEEE. Advertisement will be placed in Newspapers and website for admission under Management Quota after the declaration of results

The candidates can also opt for lateral courses which allows entry directly into the second year. Admission to the lateral courses are done strictly on the basis of merit.

Lakshmi Narain College of Technology (LNCT) Bhopal PG Admissions 2020

The Lakshmi Narain College of Technology offers Masters in Technology, Computer Application and Business Administration. The total capacity for PG courses is 642.

The Master of Engineering (M.E/ M.Tech) course offers seven different specialisations with 24 seats in each course except Control Systems Engineering which has 18 seats. MCA regular and lateral courses have 120 seats each whereas 240 seats are available for candidates who want to pursue MBA.

For admission in PG courses, the candidates need to appear through different entrance exams and then the selection will be done on merit margin:

For M.E/ M.Tech, the candidates need to sit for the MP-GATE exam.
For MCA regular course, the candidates need to sit for the MP Pre-MCA exam. The form shall be available at official website
For MBA, the candidates need to sit for the CAT exam.

For admission in MCA lateral course, no entrance test shall be held. BCA or B.Sc degree candidiates can apply for direct entry and the selection will be done on the basis of merit.

Remarks :

The main highlight of LNCT, Bhopal is it's campus placement opportunities that a student gets. Almost all the students irrespective of their branch get many opportunities in MNCs. But it's not the best institute of someone who wants to appear in competitive exams as attendance norms at very stringent and peers don't get much time to prepare for competitive exams. Infrastructure is decent with good availability of all sorts of the lab. Teaching stuff is not the most experienced or brightest one. They're good enough to get you through your semester exams. College follows uniforms strictly. Hostel facility is Bad. Extra curricular activities are decent.

Remarks :

I chose my college based on the quality of the teaching, the ability for undergraduate students to be part of research teams, the friendly environment and culture, and the financial package. The ability to create a program by combining disciplines was also important because my field (Computer engineering) was just emerging at that time. This was an excellent choice.

Remarks :

This was one of the oldest and finest private engineering college of Madhya Pradesh. Admission is done through mpmcat counselling. Because of its overall good academic history.

Admission :

I gave the examination mp pet and got admitted in LNCT BHOPAL at July 2012, I prepared for IIT jee but didn't able to clear it, but LNCT had some avg reputation in Madhya Pradesh. I got 6000 rank in mp pet and I got mechanical engineering in lnct bhopal, after document verification and getting admitted in LNCT BHOPAL, I joined the college and I was happy and partially satisfied, I wanted to work in PSUs so I opted for mechanical branch.

Remarks :

College management was strict and will lead u a disciplined and punctual life throughout and credit goes to dean of the college Mr Ashok Rai.

Ans. Both are very popular colleges. But my friends studying at UIT RGPV have complained about the condition of the college, which is not very good. Check the following points for more insight into the college: The faculty is not very good. They have excellent skills and knowledge but are not focused on teaching. Many departments do not have permanent professors and they are managing with contractual-based teachers. The condition of the laboratories is also very poor and doesn't function properly except for physics and chemistry labs. The IT department has good lab facilities with reliable internet connection but has limited access to the students. The placement scenario is not great except for CSE, EC, IT, EX departments. In Automotive, Civil, Mechanical, and PCT, the placements are very poor, especially in core companies. But if you have less budget and want to pursue engineering, then it can be one of your options as the fees of this college are very reasonable. The rules and regulations of UIT RGPV are not very strict and there is flexibility in attendance too, so you can enjoy complete freedom in this college. Hence, the situation of UIT RGPV is not much good as they offer average placements and faculty, so LNCT Bhopal will definitely be a better choice to pursue your graduation. But ultimately it is your decision.Read more

Ans. LNCT Bhopal is best known for its CSE department and the placement records are about 90%. The average CTC offered is 3-8 LPA while the highest CTC offered was 27 LPA. Also, there is a huge difference in terms of fee structure. GL Bajaj is much costlier than LNCT or any other colleges in Noida and Delhi. While a B.E from LNCT only costs around 2.64 lakhs. GL Bajaj does not have any reservations for scholarships for ST/SC and other backward castes so that’s where it lacks. Read more

Ans. LNCT Bhopal is ranked among the top 10 engineering colleges in MP. There is a reason for it being ranked high. The placement drive is very good at LNCT in the IT and CS department. The infrastructure is well maintained too. Your efforts can help you to bag the premium package companies. In the other departments, you might not get such good placements but you are assured of it in IT and CS. In 2020, the highest CTC offered in the campus placement was 27 LPA by Microsoft. Medi-Caps Indore is good too since it summons companies like HDFC Bank, Jio and it is all on you, your caliber, to crack those jobs and get a handsome salary. Overall, LNCT will be a better choice since it is among the top institutes in MP and it also has a great placement record. Read more

Ans. LNCT Bhopal is a better option. When appearing for the placement interview from BIT Jaipur, you will have to compete with students in a large number as pooled placement takes place and students from all the BIT are allowed to appear for that. While LNCT offers good placements. According to the recent highlights, the average CTC offered is 3-8 LPA. In 2020 Microsoft offered the highest CTC of 27 LPA. On the other hand, if you are comparing BITS Pilani and LNCT Bhopal then without any second thoughts, Pilani is the answer. Ans. Both institutes are reputed in Bhopal. The main difference between the two institutes is that LNCT is a private institute while UIT Bhopal is a Govt. Institute. One of my friends studied in LNCT and it turns out that they have very good placement. If you are willing to get into the private sector or MNCs, then surely go for it. According to the recent placement highlights the average CTC offered at the institute ranges around 3-8 LPA. However, attendance rules are quite strict at LNCT as they ask for 75% mandatorily. UIT, on the contrary, does not have any issues with your attendance owing to the fact that it is a government college. That can be taken as an added advantage if you are willing to prepare for some exam on the sidelines so that college attendance will not hinder your objectives.
