What students say about Dr. D. Y. Patil Institute of Engineering, Management & Research - [DYPIEMR] Akurdi

Likes

  • It was a good experience. I will miss this college in my life. Good teaching staff. Well-experienced professors; they teach like pros.
  • Placement is 100% for our senior batch. The faculty and administration of the college are the best, although there is room for improvement.
  • The best thing about these colleges is the placement record, as almost all students are placed from these colleges.
  • The college also helps to solve any problem with scholarships, which will be very nice.
  • Good campus opportunities; they do not follow gender diversity. Best practical labs with the latest developed devices. There is a separate Robotics club for research and development.
  • The hostel facilities are very good, and the food is excellent. They provide excellent service as well.
  • One of the good colleges for Chemical Engineering in Pune, certified by NAAC, the placement rate is quite good and the number is always improving.

Dislike

  • Average placements are equal to companies not visiting the college for placement, and the placement officer is also not trying to increase placement.
  • Youd get lots of assignments, which I believe is customary for engineering, but they take it up a notch.
  • No, I dont have any negative remarks about my college because I enjoyed my college days. Of course, I was a little bit behind in studies, so I failed in 2-3 subjects every year, but it doesnt reflect on the college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose the course of civil engineering to build my career in civil engineering in government sectors. Almost every student is paid attention by the faculty to improve his or her qualities.

Remarks:

Should be 12th passed in science and have a good score in MHT CET. The admission process is online through the CET cell. all the reservations are given as per instructed by the government and CET cell. There is nothing to be improved in the admission process.

Placement Experience:

Placement cell is supportive to place all students in the industry. The average package lies at 4-5 lac per annum overall considering all branches. Some students offer jobs off campus for around 20lac per annum and the highest was 40lac per annum.

Remarks:

Eligibility only required you must score well than the expected college cutoff. Online college website where you get all information. Category-wise reservation system and same fee structure also. There is the very best admission guide is available.

The campus placement at this college is average. my batch is the second batch of this college. my 3-4 seniors were placed in tech mahindra through college placements. my classmates are placed in godrej as well. most of my batchmates opted for government exams.

Remarks:

I applied to this college through the Maharashtra CET exam after the 12th class. after that my score on the exam, I filled in college options. and I got into this college. I was very happy with my choice. due to my category, I got a lot of reservations in college.

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible to get seated in on-campus interviews in the Last year of the programme i.e. 7th sem. The college has great placement opportunities in the companies like Tata Motors, Mercedes, Amazon, Microsoft, Jaguar, etc., with an average package of 10Lpa. The current Highest package reached was 22Lpa. The college offers 99% placements to the students. My plan is to get placed.

Remarks:

The College lies under University so, Entrance exams like MHT-CET and JEE are a must to get selected for the College. Cap rounds are taken by the State entrance cell under which the students are selected as per their preferences for college. The College provides Reservation categories to reserved castes and the fees are also reduced as per the caste. Also, the TFWS seat is given by the college which we get to know when the college is allotted by the entrance cell. Generally, the cut-off of the college for the Mechanical Programme lies between 70-90 For reserved castes and increases for open.

Placement Experience:

Well, the students get placement starting from the 3rd year of college. Students also start getting internships too from the same semester. There is a wide range of companies that visit the college ex: Cognizant, Tcs, Infosys, Barclays, Uno Minda, New-gen, Faurecia, SHV energy, etc. Last year there were 110 students with packages above 7 LPA. The highest package was 45 LPA by Microsoft while the average package is 5 LPA. There is a 90% campus placement opportunity. I plan to work after my degree in a renowned MNC.

Remarks:

I opted for the college through the cap round which was conducted after the state-level common entrance exam by the Maharashtra government. Students opting through this method get seats allocated according to their preferences and marks gained. Application forms were provided on the net website and the entire cap allotment process was done online. Then we were asked to visit our allocated colleges and complete our admission processes. We were asked to submit our documents and pay our fees (all at once) then the admission was completed. Well, the admission process is perfect if you ask me with enough chances given to students to select their desired college. Scholarships are provided by the government too for candidates in various categories. I availed of the Rajarshi Chhatrapati Shahu scheme where there is a 40% concession from the total academic fees. The scheme is available for students from financially weak backgrounds. We had to submit the necessary documents(income certificate, ration card, etc).

Placement Experience:

The college offers a decent placement for chemical engineering students. The average package got to the students is 4LPA, the average package is a bit high for students from a computer or Artificial intelligence. The highest package of our college is around 40LPA. The college carries a placement drive in your 4th year. you are eligible to sit for placement from your 7th semester. Almost 60-70 per cent of students get placed, and some go for higher studies.

Remarks:

Dr. D.Y Patil institute of engineering management and research (DPIEMR) is a college situated in Akurdi Pune, affiliated with SPPU. College follows the Government of Maharashtra's admission process which is a centralized admission process. You can get into this college on the basis of your JEE score or through your MHTCET score, college also admits students through management quota. You can avail of the reservation benefit given by the Maharashtra government. The admission process was smooth but was too much time-consuming, it takes one complete day to finish the process. The staff is supportive throughout the process.
