What students say about Universal College of Engineering

Likes

  • I chose this course because the college guided me. They informed me about the upcoming job requirements when I graduate, and I also noticed its growing popularity.
  • The internship was awesome and helpful. The placement depends on the student, as many companies are connected to our college for internships.
  • Some companies like TCs, IBM, and Mahaveer company have come and the stipend is very good, like 4 lakh per annum and 3 lakh per annum.
  • The college fee structure is fine with no additional charges, and they also provide buses for both long and short distances.
  • Activities are awesome; the college always supports them. The labs are also awesome with all the machines and equipment. Every year, sports are conducted and they also support participation in other colleges and provide sponsorship.
  • Our college does not have a hostel, but it has a huge canteen, and the food in the canteen is also good.
  • The college management is very good. They solve any queries and provide all information regarding the university perfectly.

Dislike

  • The courses are limited, as they dont offer mechanical engineering in their college. They also do not provide industrial visits, and if they do arrange something similar, they charge money for it. Moreover, the faculty is very young, and none of them hold a PhD or have much experience.
  • The placement opportunity for students is very, very low; it is almost non-existent because no good company has ever visited the college before. The highest package received by students from our batch is 170,000.
  • One person opted for hostels and the college itself does not provide one either, instead they simply rent out rooms to other students

Placement Experience:

Companies visited include Infosys, ITC, IBM, and some small-scale companies, etc. Every year around 80 percent of students get placed and most of their placements are off-campus, very few people get placed in the college.

Remarks:

The admission process was similar to other colleges, I got Admission in the OBC category in the university at the 60 percentile in cap round one in the mhtcet exam. I got a computer engineering branch there. For the obc category fees are 75000.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from 1st year but they help to enhance your skills and get u an internship in 2nd year as a made product and not a raw one. The average placement in the previous year is 96© and many companies like AMS and ENFOCS visit to get students placed.

Remarks:

I found out about the college through my tutors and through Collegedunia too. And then I went to this college and they helped me to understand the courses and other various things they organized everything in a neat way because there were some teachers guiding for the admission-related process and some were helping with different course-related doubts.

Placement Experience:

They visited companies are IBM, Infosys, Mahindra tech, Wipro, amazon etc. The no of students who get placed is around 20 per cent of the total percentage. The highest package to date is 12 lpa with an average package of 3 to 4 lakhs. My plans after my bachelor's are to intern and then get experience for 2 two years along with masters

Remarks:

Eligibility of the course was for cse 85 percentile. whereas for other courses was till 70 percentile. The application process is well-managed while are cap allotment is done with docs we have to visit a branch and the form is felt by the faculty itself. There are reservations for castes of ST, obc and also ebc scholarships that can be applied
