What students say about Vishwakarma Institute of Information Technology - [VIIT]

Likes

  • I think it is the very best course, and it gives us the best knowledge about my course. The faculty members are the best for my course.
  • It has a good internship opportunity under BAI, which stands for Builder Association of India. Students can do internships and also get placed while doing so. It is the best for internships as it offers two options: BAI and Manisha Construction.
  • The placement is very good. They provide almost 100% placement. They provide internships to almost all students depending on their interest. Most of the internships are stipend-based, but they have criteria for it.
  • TFWS is a good scheme offered by every college. It stands for Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme. This scholarship is not category-bound, i.e., everyone can apply for it, but one should have good CET marks to avail it.
  • Annual fests arent conducted due to COVID. Talking about awesome extracurricular activities.
  • The hostel facilities were awesome. We had a good cleaning staff, wifi, hot water, study rooms, security, etc.
  • The campus is really good, but I believe that practical knowledge techniques should be increased, as well as the variety and quality of food.

Dislike

  • Just a typical Indian engineering college, with not much focus on practical learning, but the same situation is there in almost all colleges I have seen.
  • The toppers of every department are awarded a prize money. Im not aware of any loan facilities. Currently, Im not sure if they have added any scholarships as such, as its a private organization.
  • The infrastructure is extremely bad - no sports. The college wont encourage you in sports, nor in extra activities, not even technical events.

Placement Experience:

Students are mainly eligible for placements from 3rd year ie 6 semesters. TCS, UBS, Siemens PLM, and Wipro are some companies that visit on regular basis. The average package was 5.7lacks which is now 5.94 lacs for E&TC and the highest package was 27 lacs. The percentage of students placed was around 88% last year and 32% from 3rd-year students.

Remarks:

The admission process was well planed and step-wise. I was admitted through MHT-CET marks. The First collected every one in the Seminar hall and many teachers were there to guide us. they first told us to arrange our documents and also upload them on a specific college link. Further, they send each student for the admission process and only one person was allowed. They gave importance to verifying documents first and fees were given as the last preference. I didn't get any reservation benefit but I do get a government scholarship EWS.

Many big companies visited here Like Amazon, Infosys, TCS, LTI, Accenture, Cognizant, Texus Instrument, etc. The highest package is 44 LPA and the average is near 7-8 LPA. Near 90 -95 % of students get placed here. I want to get placed in IT companies or AI orientated Company

Remarks:

I got admission through MH -Cet. The admission process is So much smooth. I got admission under the EWES quota. I allowed the AI & DS Branch of the college. This College AI & DS department is very good at academics and Other activities too.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for internships after 4th semester. Companies are not too frequent in the start but they do come to offer even PPO. The highest package varies every year last year it was around 33 LPA and the average package is 6-7 LPA. 80 percent of students get placed. I want to have my own startup after college.

Remarks:

Jee Mains is the only Admission criteria for OMS category students. The college participates in CAP Maharashtra counseling, students need to apply there only. I am in a general category so there are no reservations or scholarship benefits. I think for the OMS category, CET should also be considered.

Placement Experience:

Students get eligible for placements from the sixth semester of the academic year. Many companies like Paytm, Jio, and NVIDIA hire from our college campus and the average package for IT was around 6-7 LPA. The placement percentage is around 85-90%.

Remarks:

The admission process was fairly simple, you can get admission through jee percentile or mhtcet score. The application form, fees, and dates can be found in the college office on campus or the website.

Placement Experience:

Students get placed in our college after completing the 3rd year and the start of the 4th year. Many companies visit our college for recruitment. The highest package offered in our college was 44 lacks per annum. The average package is 750000 rs per annum. Every year around 80 students get placed in our college. My plans after getting my degree is to pursue Masters's in a good college

Remarks:

To become eligible to get admission to visit we need to give MHT CET exam for qualification. We need to get a high percentile to get admission to IIT college. Application form fees are 300 rs for ST students. Reserved category students need less percentile for admission and also have less cutoff. The admission process was very simple and no improvement is needed
