Mannar Thirumalai Naicker College, Madurai, Tamil Nadu was established in 1974. The college has been ranked 48th in 2019 by NIRF. It provides 15 Undergraduate and 10 Postgraduate courses in the domain of Commerce, Science and Arts along with some certificate and diploma courses.

Mannar Thirumalai Naicker College Admission

The college has a separate admission procedure for self-financed and aided courses. In both cases, the admission is strictly based on the merit obtained by the candidate in the last qualification. The procedure of the application for the course offered is offline.

How to apply?

  • Aspirants, willing to take admission for the aided courses, need to obtain an application form of INR 50 for UG courses and INR 60 for PG courses from the college office.
  • Students can apply for courses but need to purchase separate forms for each.
  • For Self-financed courses, UG course applicants need to obtain an application form of INR 100 in person or send a demand draft worth INR 125. For PG courses, applicants need to submit a form of INR 150 in person or a demand draft of INR 175. For M.Phil. Courses, the application form fees are INR 200 in case of submitting it in person or a demand draft of INR 225.
  • Based on the submitted application and attested documents, the merit list is prepared and the selected candidate will be informed of the interview process.
  • The admission process starts only after the date of the declaration of State Board 10+2 results or final year graduation results. In the last few sessions, the merit list cut off has been closed at 75% of the last qualifying exam marks.

The placement cell of the institution has been active about the industrial contacts for gaining the best recruiters. The top recruiters are Placement camp, TVS, ICICI, Apollo Pharmacy, UAE Exchange, Muthoot Finance, Kotak Mahindra, Idea Cellular, Winner education Institution, Alcances Technology, BFSI. In the year 2016, the college provided placement to 250+ students. A total of 10 recruiters visited for college placement. 534 students opted for campus placements out of which 450 received the offer letter and 400 students got placed. 

Mannar Thirumalai Naicker College Scholarship

The institute provides scholarships based on the guidelines of the state government. For self-financing courses, the post merit scholarship is available for SC, ST, OBC, and MBC candidates. The Agri labor scholarship is also provided to the students based on the annual income of the family. Scholarship for handicapped students, state scholarships for backward and denotified tribes can be availed by the students based on the eligibility criteria. The college management also provides funded scholarships such as the Red Ribbon club and Student Aid Fund.
