Master of Arts [MA] (Urdu) From MAC, Kolkata

Maulana Azad College offers MA in Urdu and English along with M.Sc. Zoology. The basic criterion to take admission in M.Sc is to pass B.Sc. (Hons.) Zoology or allied subject with 55% marks. For MA candidate should possess a graduate degree in relevant subject from any recognised University with 45% marks.

Of the total seats, 60% seats are filled on the basis of the merit of qualifying examination while 40% of the seats are filled on the basis of the merit scored in the admission test conducted by the college.

Key Points:

• Candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ OBC/ PwD categories and belonging to WB are given a relaxation of up to 10% in the aggregate score of the qualifying exam.
• The admission test is of one hour and consists of 50 multiple choice questions with 2 marks each. For every incorrect answer, 1 mark is deducted.
