What students say about Motilal Nehru College (Evening)

Likes

  • The campus is beautiful. It is best known for Sundri Chowk. Also, since my college is in South campus, it is close to Satya Niketan. Its a hub for college students.
  • The internship opportunity is not that great, but if youre from B.com or any course, then Arthashastra, the commerce society, does provide opportunities to grasp a good internship program. Additionally, the college also has an internship cell to help you with this.
  • The placement cell is good, but I didnt do any internships through it.
  • They dont have their own scholarship schemes, but if a student applies to any scholarship scheme that needs to be sanctioned by the college, they will sanction it.
  • The annual fest is the best part of DU colleges, and when talking about Motilal Nehru College Eve, its the best out of the rest.
  • They have a specific time to move in and out of the hostel, and you cannot leave the hostel whenever you want.
  • The college is very good and economical. It is one of the biggest constituent colleges of DU, having the biggest library in DU.

Dislike

  • It doesnt really open up many shores for a practical base, so we have to simply refer to books and research papers, which I hate by the way.
  • Sorry to say, but there is a placement cell in my college; however, we do not receive any placements from there.
  • There are some scholarships for reservations where individuals with very low earnings can get their fees refunded after applying. These scholarships are available for those belonging to weaker sections. However, in terms of job opportunities, I havent seen any, so I would say there are no job opportunities

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose the B. A prog (maths + economics) because it provides you with various future opportunities after completing a bachelor's degree. I can also do BA honours pursuing 4 years of degree course According to me, Motilal Nehro college evening has good maths faculty, they are very cooperative and helpful, and the economics faculty too. College has a decent library and decent ground I recently gave my 1-semester papers which were of moderate level, not too hard nor to easy, exams are conducted every semester and regular class tests are also conducted by subjective teachers

Remarks:

There was an entrance exam named cuet ( common university entrance test) The application form was available on cuet.samarth.com 12th pass with a minimum of 50% Application fees were nearly 1200 and the exam date was 18.08.2022

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because I had to prepare for the civil services exam, and courses include most of the syllabus of UPSC. Also on an interest basis, I choose it. The faculty is quite good. Faculties are highly qualified and also they are ad-hoc there is fun in teaching methods because of their friendly nature. Some of the teachers keep the focus on the writing process and some belief in the understanding process. Exams are now mainly held after four months. Usually, you will find six semesters in a 3-year program and exams are quite easy.

Remarks:

The admission process was quite difficult in Delhi University colleges(Motilal Nehru Eve College).Eligibility:- I took admission in 2021 in which due to Covid19, the admissions process was based on marks received in the class 12th exam. I applied for a BA prog in which I had to make the best four percent of 84 percent. You can find it on DU's official site or admission.uod.ac.in. I am available for reservation for the OBC category for which I got the benefits. There are no. Reservation provided for reserved classes. The admission process should be made smooth and student-friendly. And a proper toll-free number should be provided for the helpdesk.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I wanted to study both political science and history that's why I applied for this course. The ratio of faculty members in our department is around 50 and students are around 500+. Faculty members are Fully qualified. The exams are held every six months, semester-wise.

Remarks:

Eligibility: Applicant must be 12th passed with 60%. Application forms, application fees, and application dates are all stated on the website of the university. The duration of the admission process should be lesser.
