Nizam College is an autonomous institute located in Basheerbagh in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh was established in 1887. It was initially affiliated to the University of Madras and later became a constituent college of Osmania University. In 2012, the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) certified it as 'A' grade institution
Nizam College offers both undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the Faculties of Arts, Social Sciences, Commerce and Sciences in addition to professional courses such as MBA, MCA, M.Sc.(IS) and BCA.
The intake for UG Arts, Science, Management, and Computer Applications is 30 students per subject. Commerce has an intake of 45 students per course. Selection for UG courses is based on merit in the qualifying examination and for PG courses various entrance exams like OUCET, TS ICET are considered.
All candidates pursuing degree courses in Nizam College are eligible to enroll in the Certificate and Diploma courses introduced under UGC (COP) add-on scheme by the college. Applicants may visit the institute campus and collect the application form and prospectus to apply. Nizam College UG Eligibility Criteria

- Bachelor’s Degree in the relevant field of study with a pass or 50% is the minimum eligibility of PG courses at Nizam College

- Candidates having a degree of Graduation with at least 50% marks in any discipline are eligible to apply for MBA degree.
- For MCA, Candidate with BCA/Bachelor Degree in computer science or equivalent. degree or passed B.Sc / B.Com./ BA with Mathematics at 10+2 level or graduation level with additional bridge course as per university norms. 50% marks (40% for reserved category) are eligible to apply.
Nizam College MCA & MBA Selection Criteria
- Admission in MCA & MBA is gen on the basis of TS ICET exam
- Telangana State Integrated Common Entrance Test) is for admission into M.B.A. and M.C.A. courses of all the Universities in Telangana State and their affiliated colleges for the academic year 2021-22. This test is being conducted by Kakatiya University, Warangal on behalf of Telangana State Council of Higher Education, Hyderabad

Offline Process-
Nizam College accepts applications from eligible candidates through offline mode for both UG and PG courses. The process of application in details is as follows:
- The application form and prospectus can be purchased from the institute’s admission office within the dates stipulated for the purpose.
- After filling the application form, candidates must submit the same in person or by post to reach the institute before the last date to apply. Forms reaching beyond the deadline won’t be considered for admission.
- The merit list and dates for counseling and admission will be published on the institute website.
- The prescribed admission fee for the chosen courses must be paid in cash on the spot during counseling. No other mode of payment is accepted by the institute.

Nizam College Scholarship Schemes
- The students whose parents have less than the salary of 1 Lakh per year are instructed to apply for the scholarship, reimbursement of tuition fee by the Social Welfare/Tribal Welfare/Backward Classes & Minority Welfare Department through “ONLINE” on the website http://epasswebsite.cgg.gov.in and fill up the relevant columns through “ONLINE” submission only.
- The printed copy of the “online” scholarship form along with the enclosures has to be submitted in the Scholarship Section of the College without fail.
