Sarsuna College B.Sc Course Admission 2023

Sarsuna College offers 3-year B.Sc course as Honors and General course at UG level. Candidates applying should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with relevant subjects with at least 50% marks in aggregate and 45% in the concerned subject. Selection to Science Honors is strictly on merit basis. Apply for UG Courses

Key Points for B.Sc. Admission

  • The top four subjects in order of marks, for determining merit list will not include Environmental Education/Studies.
  • However, if the subject ‘Environmental Science’ is studied as an elective subject of 100 marks, it may be considered in top four subjects.
  • Candidates having gap of more than 5-year from the year of passing the previous qualifying exam will not be given admission.
  • 5% relaxation in both aggregate marks and subject percentage criteria is given to reserved category students.
  • However, students of OBC category are not given any relaxation.

Sarsuna College offers three-year BA and B.Com course in both Honors and General mode in several specializations.Candidates applying should have passed HSC from a recognized board along with the concerned subject of admission. Sarsuna College PG Courses Admission 2023

The Postgraduate courses of Sarsuna College are offered in both regular and under the Distance Education Mode of the Vidyasagar University. The college offers two-year M.Com, MA and M.Sc course in various disciplines. Minimum eligibility for admission to PG courses is graduation in the concerned discipline. Admission is given on the basis of the merit of the candidate in the final B.A. Honors/ B.Sc. Honors Examination.

Sarsuna College Application Process 2022

Applications for all the courses are available online through college website. Student have to apply separately for more than one course through this online application process.

UG courses

To apply online, candidates need to follow below steps:

  • Go to college website and navigate to “Admission” tab and then “Online Admission”.
  • Fill the application form and submitting it online
  • Print the generated application form and the bank challan.
  • Application fees of INR 125 (INR 25 bank Charge included) must be deposited by offline method only in any branch of the ICICI Bank to the Sarsuna College Account No. 0036SLFEECOL.

Note: Applications for which fee is paid to non-designated branches of the bank will not be registered, even if the Bank accepts the application fee.

Following original documents are to be brought by the students during counselling for verification:

  • Printed copy of the application form.
  • Fee Payment slip of the application form (student and college copies of the Challan with bank stamp).
  • Mark sheets and Passing certificates of SSC and HSC.
  • One attested photocopy of 10+2 Exam Mark sheet-
  • Valid documents/ Caste certificates for SC/ST/OBC- A/OBC -B/PH.
  • Two passport size photographs.

Note: After verification the college will provide the Admit Order by stamping and then candidates will be allowed to print the Admission Challan. No student will be provided admission without this verification and admit order.

For PG courses

  • Candidates seeking admission to first year M.A./M.Sc./M.Com course under the distance education can download the application form from Directorate of Distance Education of Vidyasagar University.
  • Application form can also be obtained from the Sarsuna College.
  • Application fee of INR 350 is to be paid in cash/challan which is to be submitted at UCO Bank branch of the University.
  • Fees can also be paid through Demand Draft drawn in favor of “Directorate of Distance Education, Vidyasagar University” payable at “Midnapore”. DD and duly filled application form have to be sent along with the following enclosures:
  1. Challan Copy of application fee.
  2. Self-attested Photocopy of all academic Credentials
  3. NOC from the employee. (If Employed).
