Professors Esita Sur and Pradipta Roy are the best teachers you could ever have.
We can submit our CVs to the placement cell officer, who provides us with suitable internships.
This year (2021), companies like Amazon, Indigo, TCS, etc. have come for placements, and the fresher salary is around $10,000 to $15,000. Although it may not be an impressive salary, it is considered good from a freshers point of view.
Students from underprivileged backgrounds, but who are good at academics, may apply to the college for the scholarship or free studentship, as it is called at the Scottish Church College.
The library is quite up-to-date, and this college has one of the best libraries in Kolkata.
If you have any rented room or PG, the ambiance here is very good to stay and study.
Scottish Church College is the best and one of the oldest colleges for BSc and BA courses.

Dislike

I feel that the revised structure is like a heavy burden. The syllabus remains the same (vast), and the time is decreased, so its very difficult to cope with.
There were scholarships for the needy students who were poor, but if they proved their need, they were given the scholarship facility.
If you are from a middle-class family, try to choose another affordable college.

First analyse, then decide

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for campus placements in their final year i.e., 5th semester onwards. Companies like TCS, Genpact, Tech mahindra, Infosys, etc visits for campus placements. The average package is around 3-4 lpa. Every year a large section of students are being place in renowned companies.

Remarks:

The admission process for B.Sc. Economics does not include any entrance exam. The application form along with fee structure can be found on the college's website. Post application, the college releases merit list and accordingly takes admission.
