Life on campus is pretty much happening. You meet a hell of a lot of people here and there. It's a great time for socialising and making networks. There is a bit shortage of classes. There exists a library of two floors with both academic and non-academic books.
I live in Noida, so I do up-down always. Although my friends live in hostel, it has minimal fee, good food, hygiene is maintained, there is time restriction of 8pm. But there are very less number of rooms available in the campus, so that's a shortcoming
SRCC provides you with a big social life, where in you interact with people, so society works and learns a lot from the environment. Fest seasons are the most famous times in SRCC. Every society conducts its fest in the month of April. Then there is the Business Conclave, conducted in the month of April. Finally, the annual cultural fest is CROSSROADS which has a budget of 2-3 crores every year. The library has 2 floors with 2 sections in it. It has almost all the books related to commerce and mathematics. The classrooms are the best part of SRCC, they have proper lighting, good furniture, ACs and proper ventilation. Else Every class has a projector and blackboards, with coloured chalk. There's a sole dedicated sports complex with the most luxurious features, like the sauna batha, swimming pool, gym, indoor basketball - badminton court, a big ground etc. Drawback- after COVID, Sauna baths and swimming pools haven't opened. There are over 55+ societies for students and they can apply to any.
However college is stressful, and campus life compensates for it all, especially when one is studying in the north campus area wherein the entire area is a student hub. Anything you look at around is student-centric, the cafe pricings are mostly reasonable considering students' budgets etc. The Patel Chest area is a hub for students to get their study material from. From photocopied readings to actual books, study material for almost all courses are available here. The Xerox photocopy is a saviour for srcc students.
The college infrastructure can be regarded as among the best in all colleges in India. The library has abundant resources and books on diverse subjects and the sports complex infrastructure is well-designed.
The room is quite decent. We have been provided with two beds ,two study tables, one big almirah, blankets , towel, etc. The food is very good and hygienic as compared to pg's outside. There are separate cutoffs for hostel admissions and it's quite affordable.
The annual fest is at Crossroads. Apart from this, there is one of Asia's biggest undergraduate fest called Business Conclave is also there. And every society is also having its annual fests. These are generally conducted in the month of April. There are a sufficient number of books are available in the library. All the classrooms are air-conditioned. There is a sports ground and complex for sports. The college has many students driven societies like NSS, Dramsoc, Aarohan etc.
The college life at SRCC is very amazing. There are 30-25 registered societies in our college from finance to fine arts that provide opportunities for students to polish their hobbies to interests. Further, the college also conducts its largest fest in DU named CROSSROADS with a budget of 2-3 crore. The college has a very well-maintained library and the classrooms are fully maintained and well furnished. The college has also its sports society and sports complex and swimming pool.
The cutoff for the college was declared on the basis of marks scored in class 12th boards. The college application process was the same as the DU admission process where students apply through the DU website. Now, the admission criteria have changed to CUET Entrance exams.
SJBy - Sarthak JhaThe admission process was that there was a CUET entrance exam and then based on the scores and preferences, students would get into the college they were eligible for. The entrance exam was 2 months after the 12th board exams so there was sufficient time to study.
SOBy - Saji OberoiFirstly we had to register with the DU portal and enter our preferences, our marks, our proofs of adress, caste, existence etc. they ask for your Adhar Card, Caste certificate, TC, merit certificates, 10-12 Marksheet, Photos, Electricity bill/pan bill etc., All self attested. Then we had to pay the minimal registration fee of about 200-300 rupees. With each subsequent cutoff, i got better college. I started with South campus, then KMC, then Hindu, and finally after the 4 cutoff, I got into SRCC. For BA Honors in Economics, to get into SRCC for Scheduled Caste Candidates, the fourth cut off was 96.5% and which was exactly equivalent to my cut off. Then I had to go to the portal again, withd
