What students say about Vidyavardhini's College of Engineering and Technology - [VCET]

Likes

  • We have a robotics lab, the best seminar hall, and the college within walking distance of the station, circled by Mumbai University.
  • Internships are a very good opportunity for students to gain practical knowledge in the field they study in. Our college supports and encourages students with talent to join companies for this purpose.
  • This college is visited by MNCs like TCS, Capgemini, Infosys, and many other popular companies on campus.
  • VCET has a scholarship option for reserved category students, which I believe is the best part of the college.
  • The tech fest is a hackathon, and it was conducted in October. The library is very good, and the college has built a new library consisting of a whole building. The extracurricular activities are very good.
  • People who live far away choose to take admission in our college because many brilliant students are enrolled in this college due to its location.
  • If you want to become a successful engineer, I suggest this college because it is very good.

Dislike

  • The placement and job opportunities were average because the number of students who got placed on-campus was less, mainly due to a lesser number of companies.
  • There are no hostel or mess facilities nearby college, but students stay in pay guest rooms nearby college

Placement Experience:

The average CTC is around 3-4 lackhs per annum. The highest package secured here is 18 lakhs. The mass recruitment is done by TCS and Infosys. More than 200 companies come here to take placements. More than 70% of students get placed

Remarks:

Firstly we need to clear JEE or MHT-CET to get admission to this college. The cut-off is above the 80 percentile for the Open category in CET and the 70 percentile in JEE. The applications can be filled out on Mumbai University's official website.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Choosing this course was in interest field. The student ratio is 15:1.The faculties are highly qualified and they teach really well If you attend lectures regularly it is easy to pass the semester.

Remarks:

We need to pass 12th and clear JEE and MHT CET with a percentile of 70+ and 80+ respectively for the open category. The process is online and admission can be taken only through this process. if a person has a reservation then the fees are reduced.

Placement Experience:

After 6 sem you become eligible for campus placement INFOSYS, WIPRO, and TCS are the 3 big companies that have given more offers in the last year which is 46,56,62. 90 per cent of student gets placements My plan after getting the degree is to do a job in a big company

Remarks:

To get admission in this branch first you have to give cet or jee exam score of a good percentile. Application form for this will be available on mahacet website and application fee is free and the last date to apply is before 2 months of exam If you belong to a reserved category then you get the benefit of a reserved category Application forms should be available offline too

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose computer engineering because, from my 10th std, I was familiar with coding. In 11/12th I studied computer science subject so I was having a basic idea of coding. VCET is having best faculties and course outcomes. They take care of each student and correct their doubts. Faculties help alot to connect with the subject with real life

Remarks:

I applied for the MHTCET entrance exam and obtained 82%ile. With the help of my percentile and reserved category (sc) I got admission to Vidyavardhini college of engineering and technology (vcet), BE Computer engineering.
