One of the best options to choose from, great infrastructure and faculty, good crowd of college, affordable fees, under Delhi University, International recognition of the university, good future options.
KPMG, Delloite, the Oberoi Group, EY etc are some of the few companies who visited our country this year. I am only in 2nd year so its hearsay. I haven't sat for placements to give a proper answer for the question.
First of all, the most important thing that drove me towards sri guru gobind singh college of commerce is that it is affiliated to Delhi university which is one of the most prestigious university in India. Then comes the faculty and infrastructure.
Placements are pretty decent but they aren?t comparable to colleges of north campus. I mean the colleges there are from 50?s or 60?s, and have a great alumni, hence they have better placements. My college being started in 1984 is in growing stage.
The following are the factors whch drove me to take admission in this college:1. Crowd: The crowd here is very nice that you can never get in any other college of Delhi University.2. Placements: The college has a very nice placement record of the students. Anyone who needs a placement after graduation should go for it.3. Infrastructure: There is no doubt that the college has a superb infrastructure with major attractions like lush green cricket ground, auditorium, conference hall, gym, etc.4. Girls Hostel: Girls from outside Delhi can easily get accommodation in the hostel and avail the facilities like food, water, comfortable beds etc.5. Seniors: The seniors here are very supportive and always help their students and give them the best advice possible.
The placement and job opportunities are quite good here. I am still in my 2nd year and I have seen my seniors getting placed in big 4 companies even my brother is passed out from this college only and he also got the placement just after his graduation. Students who are looking to get placement right after their graduation must go for it.
-Better infrastructure and faculty.-Better environment and for the reason it is ranked as 5th best commerce college of Delhi University. -Good connectivity between college and home -Good placement opportunities
The Big 4 - Deloitte, PWC, EY, KPMG every year takes numerous students from our college. This year, 36 students were offered placement by Deloitte itself. Also, Bain and Company, one of the Big 3, which only visits a handful of colleges for campus recruitment came during the placement drive of the college and selected many students at good packages. Apart from these, many other companies like The Oberoi Group, TresVista, Jaroeducation, Coho, NIIT, FIS, Tech for India etc also come every year for campus recruitment.
It is listed in top 20 colleges in india for commerce and top 5 in delhi university also the crowd of college seems very decent and intellectually stimulated with students from all across India, Nepal, Tibet etc.
college placement average package is about 3.5lacks and highest was of around 13 lacks. college also arrange internship fair every year for the students to gain professional touch. Big 4 companies come for placements in college along with many renowned companies.
