St. Joseph’s College was established at the Loyola School Campus, Jakhama by the Diocese of Kohima, Nagaland on 19th March 1985. It is now located in a vast campus in Jakhama village.

St. Joseph’s College offers courses like BBA in 2 specializations, BA with 5 specializations, B.Sc. with 6 specializations, and a B.Com. at the UG level. To be eligible for admission to BA, BBA, B.Com and B.Sc., the candidate must have passed Higher Secondary or other equivalent examination with a minimum of 45% marks.

BA/B.Com. Honours

  1. The applicant must have a minimum score of 45% in the desired subject at the Higher Secondary OR must score at least 45% aggregate marks.
  2. For English Honours Course, there is a requirement of at least 50% marks in English at the Higher Secondary Level.

B.Sc. Honours

  1. The applicant must be 12th pass with at least 45% marks in the subject desired to be taken as honours.
  2. If the applicant desires to take up Honours in Botany or Zoology, (S) he needs to have scored minimum 45% in Biology.
  3. If the desired subject is not available at Higher Secondary or Equivalent level, the applicant must have a minimum aggregate of 45% marks.

BBA- The candidate must have a minimum score of 45% in any stream at the Higher Secondary Level.

The aspirant must have scored at least 50% marks in the department (S) he desires to take up.

St. Joseph’s College Nagaland M.A. Selection Criteria

  1. The admission shall be merit based. Candidates who have 1st Division Mark (60 and above) in the subject of the department shall be preferred.
  2. Candidates seeking admission without 1st Division Mark in the subject of the department need to get themselves registered at the College Office. Admission shall be given on the basis of availability of seats.

How to Apply at St. Joseph’s College Nagaland?

The admission takes place in 3 stages- Application form submission and verification, meeting management team and fee payment by selected candidates.

  1. The candidates need to collect the application form cum prospectus from the college office during working hours which are 8:30 am – 4 pm, Monday to Friday by paying INR. 200/-.
  2. Before the deadline, the candidates need to submit the filled in application form and register in the College office along with the essential documents along with their attested copies and a registration fee of INR. 100/-.
  3. The candidates can also fill the form and register online. Online registrations are accepted from 10:00 P.M to 10:00 AM. The form can be filled and the documents can be uploaded from 10:00 AM 7:00 PM. The stages shall be application form submission and verification, telephonic interview and payment of fees by selected candidates. The original certificates need to be submitted when the college re-opens.

NOTE- There is no guarantee of being selected for admission after registration.

The following documents need to be submitted at the time of Admission:

  1. Original registration card of N.B.S.E or Equivalent recognized board and NU or Equivalent recognized University.
  2. Original Mark sheets, admit cards and certificates as per N.B.S.E, NU and other recognized Boards and Universities.
  3. 6 photographs (2 stamp size & 4 passport size), 4 Xerox copies of Mark sheet and Admit Card each.
  4. Migration Certificate for applicants coming from outside Nagaland Board/ University.
