Ans.Some of my friends studied at Bhawanipur college (BESC). According to them it is nothing but just hyped by everyone.
If you are getting a chance at Umesh Chandra college opt for it. This will also save you an amount of 1.5 lakhs.
Moreover, internal marks for BESC students are marked in a single-digit, which is discouraging
Comparatively the government colleges are better as they mark double-digit marks.
The internal exams are only conducted for the sake to follow the guidelines of CU.

The course curriculum for the B.Com(H) is the same which is prescribed under Calcutta University. It includes 6 semesters in total , and each semester will contain 2 Core Honours paper. For example, in Semester 3, there are 4 subjects: a) IT b) Indian Financial System (IFS) c) Financial Accounting-II d) Maths and Statistics, here FA-II and IFS are Honours papers. In the last year, i.e, 3rd year or 5th+6th semester, students are allowed to choose specialization from among 4 topics.
Faculty members at BESC for B.Com department are excellent, and probably one of the best in Kolkata. Their method of teaching is very student friendly. One or two might be strict, but maximum of the professors explain things to us in a very very simple way so that everyone understands. If you attend classes regularly, you need not take private tuition.
Every aspect is at its best but they don't give you practical marks even if you work hard on that. They will give average practical marks to everyone. They charge high fees still it is unexpected from such reputed college.
