Dalai Lama Institute for Higher Education, Karnataka was established and inspired by the thoughts of Dalai Lama, who consider children to be the berry of the nation’s future, and it is motivating to note that most of the establishments in exile are taken care by young educated Tibetans. The mission of the college is to ensure that all Tibetans children inside the campus will receive a robust education, a rigid cultural identity and evolve into self- sustaining and devoted members of Tibetan society and world at large. The College endeavours to create a comprehensive and aggregated higher education curriculum in its campus, to captivate the students to delve deeper into their area of specialization and to work together to create a culture of mutual trust and respect.

1. Variety of books in the library:

The library of the college has a rich collection of books in Tibetan, Chinese, and English languages. It also signs up to the magazines related to education, news, and general knowledge, as well as a Tibetan newsletter. Moreover, it is an academic library, books of various disciplines of language, mathematics, computer science, physical science, and humanities are classified on the basis of subjects using the Dewey decimal system.

2. Scholarships are available: -

Tibetan children’s village (TCV) caters 100% scholarship to the TCV wards who are admitted to the Dalai Lama Institute for Higher Education, Bangalore. Merit scholarship will be awarded to the students who get distinction in Annual result.
