Vasanta College for Women, popularly known as VCW BHU, is a women's college located in Rajghat, Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. Established in 1913, the college is affiliated to Banaras Hindu University (BHU). VCW BHU is recognised by the UGC and accredited by the NAAC with an ‘A+’ grade. It is one of the oldest colleges in the Banaras for Women and is spread over 300 acres of land. 

VCW BHU offers various UG, PG, and PhD programs in the streams of Arts, Commerce, and Social Sciences. Admission to all UG and PG courses is done through the CUET examination followed by counselling conducted by BHU. VCW BHU also offers Certificate/Diploma & Advanced Diploma programs under UGC Career Oriented Programmes and BHU Special Programme of Studies.

VCW BHU Admissions

VCW BHU admissions are done through the complete online process. To be eligible for UG courses at VCW BHU, candidates must have passed the 10+2 level with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in the relevant disciplines. Candidates need to have a bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks to be eligible for PG courses. Candidates seeking admission to any UG and PG programs must appear for the CUET UG and CUET PG examinations, respectively. The final selection will be done through the counselling process conducted by the BHU based on CUET scores.

Step 8: After Submitting the admission form, Go back to the Admission Form and from the Download option, Download your pre-filled Admission Form.

VCW BHU Campus Life 

VCW BHU campus is well equipped with facilities. They have a spacious and well-equipped library on campus which has approximately 47,442 books on Arts, Social Sciences,

Education and Commerce and Collection of Encyclopaedias. The ground floor of the Library has a reading area, a stack room and a computer lab. The First Floor has a Reference and Periodical section a Knowledge Centre that has more than forty computers with internet facility and three printers.4 Open Air Classes and 1 Campus Theatre are also present with a capacity of 2000 students. Vasanta Museum is also presented within the Campus. VCW BHU has a Large Auditorium known as Vasanta Sabhaghar with a capacity of 700 people. Apart from all these facilities, VCW BHU has different Student Clubs.

VCW BHU Hostel

VCW BHU has 2 different hostels named Vasantashram - I and Vasantashram - II with accommodation of 150 and 70 girls respectively. Hostel allotments are done after the admissions on the basis of merit, distance and need. The seats in the hostel are limited and allotted on a first-come, first-serve basis. The students who want to live in the Hostel must fill out the Google form available with the Online Admission Form. The hostel has Health and Medical Care, Sports Grounds, Music, Dance and Fine Arts.
