Students who wish to pursue a career in academia are recommended to join this course. The faculties were very good, as were the lab staff. Dr. Alok sir and Dr. Amitava Kha were exceptional faculty members in the department.
There are no internships or stipends available for the courses offered by this institution.
Many companies, such as TCS and Technoscope, come to the college to interview and select students for their company.
Good students who were better in studies received a scholarship called the Ishan Uday scholarship, etc.
The laboratories at our College are very good. They are equipped with modern and essential equipments.
Infrastructure is very decent, and I give our college an 8/10 rating. When I first entered our college, I felt very pleased with the pleasant and green location. Hills surround the college, creating a very chill atmosphere.
Our college campus, union, sports events, seminar, teachers, and exam process are absolutely good. The college lab, college seniors/juniors, and classmates are also great.

Dislike

The syllabus, set by the University of Calcutta, is very outdated and lacks room for a research-driven curriculum.
There are no placement offers by the college or the university, which is very bad for students who choose to go into the corporate sectors.
The college does provide some extra benefits for financially poor students, but the numbers are really low

A short review of Vidyasagar College

Course Curriculum Overview:

All of the professors are good at this college. All of them are well qualified and they have done their PhD from well-known institutes. They teach very well in an interactive way. They are very friendly and they also give guidance about higher studies. There are 2 exams per semester. One is internal and the other is the final semester exam. This college is not an autonomous one but it is under Calcutta university. Internal exams are easy but since it is under CU so final sem exam can be tough, it depends on the university of Calcutta.

Remarks:

Eligibility varies yearly. Above 80% marks on the board is enough to get admission. The application process, and fees, all are given on the official website. One needs to check the website regularly to get informed about the admission process. Semester fees will be somehow reduced for unreserved candidates.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I always want to be a scientist. Biochemistry is a subject that can help me achieve my dreams for research biological science. The faculty members are the best and too much friendly with students and teach us very every detailed biological information. But the university exam is quite tough and hectic.

Class Size : 17Course Fees : INR 27070 per year

Remarks:

The eligibility of the course was class 12 marks with a minimum of 70% in Mathematics, Biology, chemistry, and physics. Due to Covid, the application process was completed online. The application process was good enough. There were reservation benefits.
