Virudhunagar Hindu Nadars’ Senthikumara Nadar College (VHNSN) is an autonomous college affiliated to Madurai Kamaraj University. It is situated in the Virudhunagar city of Tamil Nadu.
It offers a host of courses at the undergraduate and postgraduate level.
The college offers BA, B. Sc., B. Com, BBA, BCA and B. Voc. at UG level. PG courses include MA, M Sc, M com. VHNSN College also offers research level programs namely M Phil and PhD in various disciplines. Apart from this, diploma and certification courses are also provided by the college.

VHNSN College offers MA, M.Sc. in the numerous specialization along with M.Com, MBA, and MCA program at undergraduate level. VHNSN College Application Process 2023
The college follows the following steps for admission to this college:
- Application forms are available before 5 days of announcement of 10+2 results on the internet.
- The cost of application form is INR 48 and INR 2 for registration process.
- For SC / ST candidates, application form is free of cost, but they will have to produce photocopy of their community certificate.
- All forms should be submitted within 10 days of announcement of 10+2 results.
- The display of merit list will be displayed on the 14th day itself of announcement of 10+2 results and counselling will be held between 15th-20th day of the same.
- Selected students will be handled out the Personal Interview cards via post. They have to attend it with their parents/ guardian.
- At the time of admission, student has to pay the required fees and bring the following documents in original:
- Marksheets of 10+2 and/ or graduation
- Transfer Certificate
- Conduct Certificate
- Attendance Certificate of last Institute attended
- Community Certificate (photocopied) of SC/ ST/ DNC/ MBC/ BC
- Migration Certificate
- Students of ex-Servicemen of Tamil Nadu originals should bring their dependency certificate to avail admission in reserved seats of UG courses.
VHNSN College Scholarship
The college offers various scholarship schemes to desirous students:
- Backward Class Department: Residential and non-residential scholarships are awarded to those candidates belonging to BC/ MBC/ DNC/ if parents’ income is less than INR 2 lakhs.
- Adi Dravida Welfare Department: SC/ ST students can avail this scholarship if parents’ income is less than INR 2.5 lakhs. UG hostellers get an additional 6500 and PG hostellers get an additional INR 7000 whose parents income is less than INR 1 lakh.
- Chief Minister's Farmer Protection Scheme: This scholarship is available to students whose parent is a farmer and possess an ID card of Registered Membership under CM’s Farmer Protection Scheme. Such students are debarred from receiving any central or state scholarships in the future.
- Students Aid Fund: The Students Aid Fund helps those students who are not receiving any other scholarship on the basis of their merit and annual income of their parents.
- National Loan Scholarship: This scholarship is awarded to the students under merit cum poverty. Students who have achieved minimum 75% marks and whose parents’ annual income is not more than INR 12,000 are eligible for this scheme.
- Freedom Fighters Scholarship: Scholarships are given to the children, grand-children and adopted children of freedom fighters. It is awarded on the acknowledgement of certificate from the Tamil Nadu Congress Committee.
- Defense Service Personnel Scholarship: Students whose father/ mother is working in Military Service can avail this scholarship. Student should have obtained 50% marks in last annual examination in first attempt. The student is also eligible for full fee concession and is exempted from paying all special fees.
