Belda College offers Arts, Science and Commerce and other vocational courses at the undergraduate and postgraduate level in a variety of disciplines. It also runs a BCA program at the UG level. The intake capacity for the programs differ from courses to course with a total approximate capacity of 1000 students per year.

  • Vocational candidates (H.S. Level) are not eligible to apply in any Hons. course or Lab based subjects except B.Voc. & B.C.A.
  • UG candidates are selected on the basis of merit via institute level counselling process.
  • All shortlisted candidates must undergo the institute’s automated e-counselling process before the final merit list is declared.

Belda College UG Admission 2023

Belda College offers undergraduate level degree courses in the disciplines of arts, science, commerce, computer applications and vocational subjects. The subjects offered under BA Hons. and BA General include Bengali, English, History, Geography, Philosophy, Political Science, Economics, Sanskrit, Sociology, Santali, Education and Music. The college offers two additional subjects under BA General, viz. Physical Education and Hindi. Candidates applying for science courses (Hons. & General) may choose from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Botany, Zoology, Nutrition and Computer Science. A B.Sc. General program in Physiology is also offered under the Dept. of Science. The institute further offers a B.Com. (Gen. and Hons.) program in Accountancy, a BCA program, and two B.Voc. programs in Theatre & Stage Craft and Software Development.

The basic eligibility criteria for admission to these programs is a pass in 10+2 in any stream with a minimum aggregate of 45% marks. However, candidates who have score 50% in the subject applied for (but aggregate marks less than 45%) are also eligible. Selection of candidates is done on the basis of marks obtained in the last qualifying exam through counselling process.

Prospective applicants may fill the online application form which can be accessed by visiting the institute’s official website. The application fee can be paid through bank challan payment method only. No other mode of application or fee payment is currently allowed by the institute.

  • Candidates can apply maximum three different Honours/General subjects against one ID at one time.
  • Candidates are eligible for Nutrition Hons. If they have Biology or Nutrition with Chemistry at H.S. Level.
  • Calculation of Merit Point is calculated on the basis of marks obtained in the Subject Applied added to 10% of best of five subjects’ marks.

Belda College  PG Admissions 2023

Belda College offers regular postgraduate programs in the disciplines of Arts and Science. The MA program is offered with specializations in Bengali and English. Subjects offered under the M.Sc. program include Mathematics and Physics. The basic eligibility criteria for admission to these programs is graduation in the relevant discipline with minimum 45% aggregate marks. Candidates are selected on the basis of their performance in the entrance exam conducted by the institute.

Only offline applications are accepted by the Belda College for admission to PG courses. The application form can be downloaded from the institute website or collected in person from the institute office. The application fee can be paid in cash or via demand draft. It is mandatory for candidates applying under open category to appear for the institute level entrance exam.

  • The total intake for Arts courses is 110 (55 per subject). There are 20 seats each for each M.Sc. specialization offered by the institute.
  • The institute reserves 60% of the total seats for students of Vidyasagar University. The remaining 40% of the seats are filled under open category.

Belda College Application Process 2023

The process of application to various courses offered by Belda College differ from course to course. The detailed application process is as follows:

For UG Admissions

  • Candidates may visit the institute website beldacollege.org.in to fill the application form online. Only online filling of application forms is allowed for UG courses (General and Hons.).
  • Candidates must complete all requisite particulars enquired in the application form for his/her application to be valid. The details entered in the application form must be correct and belong to the applicant only (details such as phone number, address etc.).
  • The application fee can be paid only via bank challan. Fee per subject is Rs.150/- for UG courses.
  • Candidates must also upload scanned copies of Passport size photo, H.S. /Eligible Board Mark Sheet & Cast Certificate if applicable.

For PG Admissions

  • Candidates can also download the application form from the institute website on the stipulated dates.
  • All requisite particulars in the application form should be filled correctly.
  • The complete application form should be submitted with attested photocopies of all supporting documents.
  • The cost of application form is Rs.400/-, which can be paid in cash at the time of submitting the application form. Candidates can also pay the application fee via demand draft.
  • The demand draft must be drawn in favor of “Belda Collge” payable at Belda.
  • Candidates will be issued admit cards for the purpose of entrance exam. Those candidates who score within the cut-off percentage are eligible for counselling under open category.
