What students say about BMS College of Engineering - [BMSCE]

Likes

  • The course is very good and I got to learn a lot about business ethics and management skills.
  • As I am a 1st-year student, I dont know much about internships. However, the college has signed MOUs with HP, Volvo, TCS, Benz, and Mercedes, which is new.
  • BMS ranks the best in Bangalore for job placements and boasts of a 100% placement rate for mechanical companies ranging from Audi, BMW, Rolls Royce, Mercedes to Tata, TCS. These are the companies that come.
  • The fee structure for students who live in Karnataka is very good. However, for students who come through COMEDK, the fees are around 2lac-2.5lac, whereas the fees for Karnataka students are just 60k-1lac.
  • Best placement in Karnataka, college campus in the heart of Bangalore, College fest: Utsav, the best hostel/mess in South India, and the best faculties.
  • The College Hostel is very good, and the rooms are for sharing, with two people being assigned to each room.
  • I have always had and continue to have a very good opinion of my college. It is the best in this state.

Dislike

  • Good teacher, all the lab equipments are old and not working. The infrastructure was also bad, considering the fee.
  • There was no on-campus recruitment for internships, but students applied offline and worked in companies like Yahoo, SAP, Cisco, etc. The stipend is usually 12-18k/month.
  • Again, we have to struggle for it. If its our bad luck, we have to take extra courses and wait until the placement.
  • I did not look much into this, but there were a few which Im not very sure about.
  • The hotel will cost you 1.5 lakh per year with food, but the food is also bad there.
  • There is nothing bad to say about the college, but the teaching methods should be updated and need to be updated over time.

Placement Experience:

College has a very good placements record for our branch compared to other colleges. Company placements can be applied from 3rd year. The average package is around 5-6 LPA. Big companies like Mercedes Benz, Boeing etc visit for placements.

Remarks:

The admission process was a quite smooth and easy and not hectic process. You should have all the reservation documents (if you applying for them) and other documents ready then there won't be a problem. They take in from Kcet, Comedk and direct admission.

Placement Experience:

you can get internships in the 6th semester and final offers too. generally, final years get maximum offers and 3rd years get ppos highest package was around 40 lakhs if you are in circuit branches you will surely get placed but in core its tough but you can get here as well

Remarks:

you need to give comedk exam to get into this college. cutoff for circuit branches is quite high you need to get under 1000 ranks but for other branches, you can get even high ranks. you can get a domicile reservation and the fees will be less for that you need to clear cet exam.

Placement Experience:

placements are pretty good in BMSCE. Students become eligible for placements from the 5th SEM. Companies like Infosys, Intel, etc visit. The number of offers made is also pretty good. The highest package goes around 40 LPA every year and the average package is around 9 LPA. Around 70% of students get placed. I am planning to get a job after completing my degree.

Remarks:

Admission is through the KCET examination. For eligibility, you have to qualify for the cutoff for whichever branch you want to join in KCET. Application forms and other information are available on the KEA website. KCET cutoff for CS was 920 and for AIML it is around 2500 rank in KCET.
