What students say about Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Management Studies - [MAIMS]

Likes

  • The course is taught very beautifully and brought up by the teachers of Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Management Studies, and the way the teachers teach is also appreciable.
  • Companies like Wipro, Zee News, Accenture, HT, Reliance, Genpact, and Moglix come here with great stipends for internships and job placements. I did a project at one such place, the Tiz Hazari Court, where I interned for two months.
  • The placements and job opportunities are great; students receive excellent packages from some outstanding companies.
  • Fees were good as it was a semi-government college, and books were provided in the library itself for studying, which minimized the cost of studying.
  • The infrastructure of Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Management Studies is quite impressive and one of the best among IPU colleges.
  • In the room, you will be given a pillow and a mattress, internet facility, and there are also cleaners available to clean your room regularly, along with cool water to drink.
  • Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Management Studies is the best institute for a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communication.

Dislike

  • Although a lot of companies offer On-Campus Placements, unfortunately, the opportunities ahead are not that fruitful. Additionally, the salary offered is just enough to pay bills.
  • Even during the COVID pandemic, they continued to increase the fees, which was really bad. Just before COVID, the fees were 86000, and now it is around 106000. Moreover, the salaries of teachers have been cut by around 70%.
  • The availability of books is bad as I wanted books from the book bank and they were already out of stock.
  • The boys hostel is provided within the campus, which is a plus point. However, the girls hostel is about 2 kms away, which has a negative aspect as it is located in an area where the environment is not very secure

Placement Experience:

It depends on the students and the skills they develop. Most students go for internships after the 4th semester or 2nd year. The college's placement cell guides and helps the students in this. some of the top companies that have come for placements include: ICICI Bank, Axis Bank, WIPRO, Tata Motors, Delloite ,etc average package is 3-4 lakhs/year I want to pursue MBA after BBA

Remarks:

The admission process includes the following steps: registration entrance exam Group discussion and personal interview document verification admission offer The application form and details related to fees are available on the GGSIPU website. The cutoff was around 300-400 in the IPU CET exam for BBA

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum for a bachelor in business administration is of medium-level difficulty. The faculty is also good, they seem to be polite and helpful to students. They provide you with enough notes and assignments throughout the semester.

Remarks:

There is an entrance exam that needs to be given after the 12th board. The website is ipu.admissions.in. The rank to get admission is up to 3000. Don't have much knowledge about reservation criteria. The exam is based on your IQ and the level is not that high.
