Eligible candidates applying for the Institute have to fill an online application form by visiting the official website of GGSIPU. The university conducts a common entrance test for which the registration process starts in January. They will also be required to pay an online application fee of INR 1000 submitted with a duly filled form. Candidates will be required to appear in the IPU CET entrance test on a given date. Upon declaration of result and merit list, they will be called for an interview and are required to opt for choices in institutes.

CET: It is mandatory for all students willing to take admission to appear in the Common Entrance Test (CET) and clear the same.
Counseling: All students who clear the CET assigned a rank and then they are called in counseling as per their rank and are allotted seats in the institute according to the choice of student and availability of seats.

Following are the facilities offered by the institute to cater to the need of the students:

Library: There is a central library at the institute with a rich collection of books, journals, magazines, reference books, project reports. All the students and faculty members can use the library resources by taking library membership.
Computer Labs: There are 9 well-equipped and maintained computer labs with around 30 systems in each lab. The computer systems are interconnected to each other through LAN. They are equipped with LCD projectors to show graphical content easily and quickly.
Hostels: The Institute has a hostel for both boys and girls namely Raja Mahendra Pratap Hostel with accommodation to 230 students. It has 4 storey buildings with all the necessary amenities. The rooms are offered at very subsidized rates with mess, playground, TV room, common room and sports.

Review on My college

Admission:

The admission process was through an entrance exam conducted by GGSIPU. You can check the university's website for the application form, and the application fee was 1000 Rs, and application dates can also vary so you should check the university's website. Benefits of reservation such as SC/ST can be availed but for OBC I don't think they can avail much. The admission process was right for me so I don't want any improvement.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because of the increase in jobs in this sector and to keep in mind that the future will be all about computer technologies. Faculty is divided according to the department and each department consists of approx 20 teachers there are a total of 300 students in one year and bca is for 3 years so the faculty: student ratio can be 1:45. All faculty have done their masters and some are pursuing higher studies like Ph.D. Some teachers are good some are bad at teaching but they all are good in nature there are exceptions. Term exam time was a high-pressure time but if you study normally throughout the sem then the exam would be a piece of cake for you. And faculty will help you if you do not do good in your exam.

Best in Placement

So take admission in Bachelor of Computer Application Course in Guru Gobind Singh Indraprashth University you have to first clear a Computer Based Test for which you will be given admit cards and Test Center will be designated to you before hand. CET notices can be seen at the official website of GGSIPU University www.ipu.ac.in . Application Fee is Rs 1500, fee is to be paid in Online mode. You should be passed 12th class with 55 percent marks. There is a seperate website for giving preference for the college for admission. Admission takes place after the result on the basis of your marks Ranks is alloted to you. More the rank best college you will get in IP university.

I had taken this course to pursue my career in IT field. As after BCA many fields are open for us to go. Like Software Developer, Software Engineer, UIUX Designer, etc. According to me faculty : student ratio was not good enough, in my college same teacher with less subject knowledge was forced to teach the particular subject. Atleast 2 teachers with subject knowledge for every single subject we are studying should be there. Exams were taken on time and difficulty level is normal. One more problem with IP University is last moment notification thing. IP University uploads datesheets just 10-12 days before the final exam because of this student faces stress as they are not able to manage there time as how to study according to the datesheet.

My college experience

The admission process was quite easy, it took an online entrance exam which consists of 4 sections namely: general knowledge, English, maths, and logical reasoning. The time duration was of around 2:30 hours and the centers of examination were mainly in Delhi NCR. The Reservation is available for SC, ST, and OBC.

The course that I'm currently pursuing is a bachelor's in business administration in banking and insurance, currently in the 6th semester, from Maharaja Surajmal. The faculty members are very good and supportive here. The Faculty - Students ratio is 1:30.

A Fulfilling Journey of Academic and Personal Growth

The admission process was well-organized and transparent, and the university provided clear instructions and guidance throughout the process. To apply for the BCA program, I had to meet the eligibility criteria of having passed the 10+2 examination with English and Mathematics as core subjects, and obtained at least 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination. I was able to fill the online application form available on the official website of GGSIPU, and pay the application fee online using a credit/debit card or net banking. After submitting my application, I had to appear for the Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by GGSIPU. The exam was conducted in a fair and organized manner, and the university provided detailed information about the exam pattern and syllabus beforehand. Once the results of the CET were declared, I was informed about my admission status through the official website and email. The university also provided detailed information about the admission process.

I chose this course because I have a keen interest in computer applications and technology, and I believe that the BCA program at GGSIPU will provide me with a strong foundation and practical skills to pursue a career in this field. The course curriculum is comprehensive and well-structured, covering topics such as programming languages, database management systems, software engineering, web development, and computer networks. The coursework is designed to provide a balance between theoretical concepts and practical applications, with a focus on real-world problem-solving. The faculty members are knowledgeable, experienced, and passionate about teaching. The faculty: student ratio is quite good, with a reasonable number of students in each class, which ensures individual attention and support for students. The application form for the CET exam for BCA can be easily found out on ipu. ac. on the website. The application fee is 1000 INR. Forms are released in April-May and the exam is conducted in July. So students must keep an eye on that. According to BCA's new model, any student belonging to any stream is eligible for the course. Those who belong to non-math backgrounds have to take a mathematics bridge course in the first semester.

I chose this course to get into the Computer science field despite not having science in school. It is the best course if you want to make a technical career and can't opt for BTech. The faculty of BCA in our college is the best. All the teachers are Ph.D. and make efforts for the students. The term exams happen 2 months after a semester starts and they are set according to the university pattern. They are set at par with University papers and are moderate to pass.
