Annamalai University accepts applications from all eligible candidates, while admission is done strictly on the basis of merit. The basic eligibility criteria for applying to any of the UG courses offered by the university is clearing 10+2 with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks.

Once selected for admission, candidates are required to appear for a counselling session conducted by the university. The applicant is required to produce his/her original educational documents during the time of counselling.

Candidates can apply by downloading the application form from the university website or by requesting a copy from the university campus by paying the required application fee. Those who have downloaded the application from the university website will be required to pay the application fee via demand draft favoring “The Director, DDE, Annamalai University.”

Candidates are required to send the duly filled and signed application form with attested photocopies of all crucial documents before the prescribed last dates of submission.

• For certain courses, the candidate is further required to clear 10+2 in the relevant stream with the minimum required cut-off marks as set by the university.
• Selection to any of the UG courses offered by the university is subject to merit on the basis of marks obtained in 10+2 and on relevant subjects.
• Final admission to the UG courses is done through counseling process.

Admission to all PG courses offered by Annamalai University is strictly on the basis of merit. The basic eligibility criteria for applying to any of the PG courses offered by the university is graduation in the relevant field with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks. Once selected for admission, candidates are required to appear for a counselling session conducted by the university.

Candidates can download the application form from the university website and send it upon completion along with the required fee via demand draft favoring “The Director, DDE, Annamalai University.” After getting the application form, candidates are required to send the duly filled and signed application form with attested photocopies of all crucial documents before the prescribed last dates of submission.

Selection to any of the PG courses offered by the university is subject to merit on the basis of marks obtained in graduation and on relevant subject(s). Further, sitting for a counselling session is required for the final selection of candidates.

• Candidates applying for PG courses must possess graduate degree in the relevant discipline with a minimum of 50% marks.
• While general candidates are required to score at least 50% marks in their last qualifying exam, SC/ST candidates are required to score 45%. 
• Candidates are required to score a minimum of 50% marks in graduation to be eligible for admission.
• Final admission to the aforementioned courses is done through counseling process.
