The Kuvempu University Directorate of Distance Education (KUDDE) offers 40 programs in various disciplines in both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Duly recognized by UGC-DDE, all the distance education degrees offered at KUDDE are equivalent to regular degrees. At the undergraduate level, programs like B.A., B. Sc., B. Com, BBA, B. L. I. Sc. are offered. At the postgraduate level, KUDDE offers M.A., M. Sc., MBA and M. L. I. Sc. KUDDE also offers a one-year postgraduate Diploma in six different areas of study.

Undergraduate applicants should have completed their 10+2 examination while postgraduate applicants should hold a Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline.

Kuvempu University Distance Education Application Process 2023

Application for admission at KUDDE is an online process. The steps involved for filling the application is listed below:

Step I: Access the KUDDE Application Form and carefully fill with correct details.

Step II: Ensure providing correct mobile number and valid email ID for all future communication form the University.

Step III: Upload Photo and signature of candidate as per specification.

Step IV: Pay the application fees either through draft or through NEFT

Step V: Take print-out of filled-in application form and submit the same along with true copies of documents related to eligibility, date of birth etc., and fee payment receipt to "Director, Directorate of Distance Education, Kuvempu University, Jnanasahyadri, Shankaraghatta-577451". All Documents must be supported by originals.

The application hard copy should be submitted within two days from the online submission date. Please note that all Original documents will be returned to the candidate immediately after verification.

Kuvempu University Distance Education Scholarship

The KUDDE scholarship options are:

SC/ST and OBC Students can avail scholarship/ fee reimbursement from the concerned State Departments/ Agencies
Physically Handicap Candidates as well as Ex- servicemen are awarded Fee Waivers.
The University also allows Fee concession to its own Employees and their dependents.

Ans. Yes, prospective learners from across the country can apply for a KUDDE degree. In case there is no University Study Centre nearby to a student’s location, then, the student will have to attend classes at the university campus at Shankaraghatta.

Ques. Where will the entrance examination for MBA be conducted?

Ans. The MBA Entrance Examination will be conducted in select locations as decided by KUDDE.

Ques. When do I get my Self Learning Material and other program related information from KUDDE?

Ans. The University will dispatch Study Materials, Practical Records & Assignment Books to accepted students immediately after document verification and Admission confirmation. Information about Contact Classes, Practical Classes, Internal Assessment & Examinations will be intimated to the students through notification on KUDDE website, via post, or through the concerned study centers.

Ques. How are the practical sessions for practical-oriented programs delivered in the distance mode?

Ans. KUDDE makes it mandatory for its distance students to attend practical sessions for specific days at designated University Departments/ Colleges/ Student Support Centers. Such programs have a definite portion of experimental work which is graded and needs to be fulfilled for the completion of the degree.

Ques. What if I do not get my Original Certificates back from the University?

Ans. In case, any student does not receive any of their original certificates, they must promptly bring the same to the notice of The Director, DDE, Kuvempu University. The original records are maintained at the university for a minimum period of three months.
