SNDT Women’s University was founded in 1916 by Maharshi Dr. Dhondo Keshav Karve. It was the very first University exclusively for women. It was also the first women’s university in the whole of South-East Asia. The headquarters is located in church gate Mumbai. It has 2 other locations; Juhu in Mumbai and Karve Road in Pune.

SNDT Distance mode began in 1979. Several undergraduate and postgraduate programs are available in distance mode.

The courses available at UG level are BA, B.Com. B.Sc, B,.Tech, LLB, BMM, BSW, BVA, B.Ed, B.L.I.Sc., BCA, B.Voc, BMS, and B.Pharm. 

At the postgraduate level, if offers MA, MVA, M.Ed, M.Com, M.Sc, MSc eL, MSE, LLM, M.L.I.Sc., MMS, MBA, MSW, M.Tech, and M.Pharm. 

In addition to this P.G Diploma courses are available in Human Resource Management, School Counseling, Early Education.

Certification courses are also available in Guidance and Counselling, Leadership of Women Representatives of Local Self Government, and Basics of Diet Therapy

Admissions to the courses are based on University Entrance Scores.

SNDT CDE Mumbai Admissions

Candidates are chosen on the basis of the University Entrance Score(UES). The Test consists of four papers, each paper carries 100 marks. The Test is conducted twice a year in December and in May. The results of UET are valid for two years.

Ans. Yes, the SNDT has a grievance redressal cell for acknowledging the concerns of the students. The SNDT assures the students that their complaints will be responded to by the committee within 15 days. The complaints can be submitted either in Marathi or English.
