The selection criteria of the institute are based on an entrance test namely NMAT conducted by GMAC. This will be followed by a personal interview. For admission in MBA (Part-time), the students are selected on the performance in written test and personal interview. Candidates with a GMAT score of more than 600 are also eligible for admission. 

How to Apply for NMIMS?

For courses, where admission will be granted on the basis so of NMAT: The application form for NMAT can be filled by visiting https://www.nmat.org/.

  • Click on Register Button on the top right corner of the page.
  • Provide the required details for registration like email and a valid mobile number.
  • Select the country for tests, enter Captcha and create an account.
  • You will receive a verification email, click on verify
  • On the following page, provide identity Information, Parents Details, Identity Proof Details, and select if you have any special needs (for Differently Abled Candidates only).
  • Click on Next and Provide Academic Information like 10+2 marks, Graduation marks, etc.
  • Complete the application process by paying the required application fees.

For other Courses: 

  • Visit the official website of the NMIMS and register online.
  • Before filling the online form, candidates are advised to read the instructions mentioned in the instruction sheet after referring to “Important Dates” for each course separately.
  • Payment of registration fees can be made by credit card (Visa/ Master).

Selection Criteria

Stage 1: NMAT by GMAC™ test is a mandatory test for applying to the following NMIMS University programs:

  • This year GMAC has introduced two types of testing modes for the exam. One is an Online Proctored Exam that can be taken from home and the second is the centre based online exam. Candidates have the option to take the test either at a test centre with social distancing protocols or to take the online proctored exam from the comfort of their home.
  • After the candidate has applied to NMIMS, the score of the NMAT by GMAC™ Test will be submitted by GMAC electronically to NMIMS (Deemed to-be-University).

Stage 2: Case Discussion (CD) and Personal Interview (PI) only for shortlisted candidates.

Note: The result for NMAT by GMAC™ test will be declared on the www.nmat.org.in website and the shortlisting for the next round of CD and PI will be declared on the www.nmims.edu website.
