Eligibility Criteria

Aspirants seeking admission to the 3 Year Full-time B.Com Hons program should have passed the H.S. Examination of the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or equivalent degree as recognized by the University of North Bengal.

NOTE:

  • No Admission shall take place after expiry of the Last date of admission.
  • Constitutional benefit of 15% reservation is allowed to S.C. and 7.30% to S.T,3% to PH. Students.
  • Each applicant has to apply in the prescribed Admission Form and has to submit the following papers along with his/her application form (duly filled in);
  • CHANGE OF COMBINATION SUBJECTS : Henceforth no change of subjects, and change form General to Honours Category and vice versa shall be granted after the filling in the Registration Forms, by the candidates of the respective Colleges, any change undertaken by the Colleges, in this matter shall indicate violation of University Statute, Regulation, Rules, Guidelines and Circulars etc. on the Colleges.
  • Admission to all Honours Course will be based strictly on merit.
  • A candidate prosecuting Honours in a Language subject shall not be allowed to take up another Language subject as elective. As per G. O. No. WB (part -i) / 98/ SAR-354 dated Tuesday, September, 1995 order and notifications by the Governor of West Bengal /Government of West Bengal Scheduled caste and Tribes welfare Department, Writers Building, Calcutta-i ”For admission to the Course B. A. (Hons.) B.Sc. (Hons.) B.Com. (Hons.), SC of ST candidates getting admission should have in the Previous examinations qualifying marks, which are not lower by more than 25% form the marks obtained, by the last candidate of the general category. A candidates included in the general merit list will not be counted as reserved category.
