Netaji Mahavidyalaya Facility

  • Library: The College Library is rich and well-equipped with as many as 40,000 titles. The library has a Book Bank and different seminar sections attached to it. In addition, there are separate reading rooms for teachers and students. In the Periodical and Newspaper section there is a circulation of as many as 35 periodicals and journals and 7 dailies. As many as 20 departments have their separate libraries with a sizable number of books (mainly students friendly) and a few journals.
  • Laboratories: All the laboratory-based departments like Chemistry, Physics, Botany, Zoology, Computer Science, Mathematics, Geography, Plant Protection Environmental Science have well-equipped laboratories. Computer facilities are also available for the students and the college is in the process of expanding these facilities. Internet, Fax, Intercom, Telephone booth and Photocopying facilities are also available in the college.
  • Sky Watching Center: With a view to promoting interest in sky-watching among the students, teachers, non-teaching staff, and other persons of the locality, the college has set up a giant and up-to-date telescope on its own premises. Eventually, sky-watching camps are organized by the college from time to time
  • Post Office: The college has arranged for a post office named ‘Netaji Mahavidyalaya Post Office” on its premises. This post office is at the service of the inmates of the college and its neighbors as well
  • NCC & NSS: The students can also enroll themselves in the NCC and /or NSS units of this college. There is one NCC company and as many as six units of the NSS in the college. The NCC imparts military discipline among the interested students where the NSS units are constantly at the service of the college as well as the surrounding locality
  • Hostel: The college having a wide hinterland has good hostel facilities for both male and female students. The Boy’s hostel (Vidyarthi Bhawan) has a capacity of sixty borders. The three-storeyed Girls’ hostel (Nazrul Chatriniwas) has a capacity of 120 borders. Students are admitted to the hostels on the basis of distance of their residence from the hostels and their respective merit
  • Games and Sports: The college has its own playground which is used as the center of Games & Sports of the college as well as of the locality. Facilities for outdoor games like Football, Cricket, Volleyball, Athletics, Badminton, etc. are available. Indoor games like Table Tennis, Carrom, Chess, etc. are also provided for boys & girls.
