Shyama Prasad Mukherji admission 2023 will begin soon. Delhi University has released new guidelines for admission to all UG courses. From this year onwards, admission to all DU affiliated colleges will be based on the CUET scores and done through Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS). The admission process will be done in three phases. In phase 1, aspirants will have to fill CSAS 2023 application form. In the second phase, students will have to select the course and college preference. The third phase will include seat allocation in multiple rounds and final admission based on a merit list.

Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) 2023 Admission Process:

Delhi University has introduced the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) for admission to UG courses for all its affiliated colleges. The entire process is explained below:

Phase 1: CSAS 2023 Application Form

  • Aspirants are required to fill the CSAS 2023 application form on the centralized admission portal by paying a one-time non-refundable application fee.
  • ECA and sports quota candidates will have to pay an additional fee.

Phase 2: Selection of Courses and College Preferences

  • Second phase will start after the results of the CUET UG examination are declared.

Phase 3: Seat Allocation and Final Admission

  • Merit list will be declared on the basis of CUET UG scores.
  • Multiple rounds of seat allotment will be conducted.
  • Candidates will have to check if they have been allotted a seat on the CSAS dashboard. If allotted, candidates must accept their seat on or before the given date for that particular round.
  • Seat allocation will be based on multiple factors such as - combination of college and program chosen, position of the candidate on the merit list, category (SC/ST/OBC/EWS/UR) of the candidate, and availability of seats.
  • Upon acceptance of a seat, the university will check eligibility, verify documents, and confirm admission after receiving the payment of fee.

Admission:

The earlier registration process for Delhi University college starts from the 12th percentage but as of now, the 12th percentage is not required for applying to Delhi University. But a national exam name CUET is taken for admission to Delhi University. It is organised to centralise the examination process. The CUET examination fee was around 1300 rupees and I applied for the form from cuet.ug.in

Admission:

There should be no reservation quota during the admission process. actually, our admission was based on the merit format we got admission on our 12 masks. but the admission process which took place this year was pathetic if a student is from a science background and wants to opt for a course from a BA program then he or she will have to give the exam with a science background to clear that but in actual it should not be there. the student should give the exam from the course they want to opt.

It was pretty easy. The cut-offs were released at an interval of 1 week and accordingly, you can apply for admissions. I remember it gets a little overwhelming because we are new but then as we understand things a little bit it becomes a lot easier.
